I agree, and think they've looked for someone to buy a minority stake. But I don't expect Joe will sell £400M of Spurs and plow it back into the club.

I'm honestly a little on the fence, because I don't think we have any real idea how good/bad this squad is. Ange just isn't fit for the job and the way we're playing with uber-naive philosophy and no real tactics just can't do well in this league.

I suspect we're better than some think, though still a ways off from seriously challenging. But I don't know if it requires £400M in players.

DM is the biggest gaping hole I see in this squad. We need 1 elite signing there, and to move Gray into the understudy role...which requires signing a RB and another CB. And a LW replacement for Son, but that might be Odobert and Moore...we don't know at this point.

Part of my problem with not sacking Ange in November is: other than the hope of the EL this season is fucked anyway, and persisting with Ange really stops us from credibly evaluating the rest of the squad and identifying the most important areas for investment.

The argument for dilution of the current TH shareholders is pretty straightforward - a smaller % of a bigger pie with cash in it is worth more than their current % shareholding in TH (ie its new shares being issued so cash goes to club not existing shareholders).

The case for dilution is pretty straightforward - its core business of being a football club needs money spending on the squad and the club cannot finance that any other way in the short term from generating big enough operational cash flow. And surrounding clubs are competing hard so if we do not invest in next tear or so we run the risk of needing to compete with maybe 6 or 8 other clubs to get into CL or even EL.

In terms of the quality of existing squad - I think we know its a decent squad but maybe needs 4-6 player upgrade to make it a top squad.

IMO the complication now is that Lewis is getting on inn age and has given control over his voting rights in Spurs to 2 lawyers as trustees - and lawyers generally don't like making changes and taking risks so will not be overjoyed to receive a proposition saying 'dilution' - as they may well take it as being negative.

So I don't expect a fast resolution both because of the Lewis situation , and raising money by selling shares in an existing operation is not easy either.

I quite like the kid but Lookman spat his dummy out this summer because he wanted a move

He’s also been criticised by Gasparini for having a bad attitude previously when asked to come off the bench.

He would give us more than Werner for sure, but he isn’t top level either.

Not quite a fair contest as RKM has played quite a lot as a wide forward and David pretty much always as a CF,

Also, at PSG you are always playing the deep block.

But as a CF, David probably is the better finisher. I just think RKM would play more in that BJ remit and be a lot better at it.
Both are average and neither should be in the convo for a starting role at the 8th richest club in the world. Very much doubt they'd start at City, Pool, Chavs or the twats down the road. They're West Ham signings.

But Levy.

Something about that brighton system makes their cdms tick.
Bissouma, Caicedo, and now Baleba.
Thats 3 different managers all employing different systems; it's their scouting that is truly a marvel to behold. I'm not sure how they've managed such excellent continuity though because I think they've had a couple of the top guys in their department pinched over the last couple of seasons.

35 km/h is VDV quick and he’s also explosive to get up to full speed. That’s a game changer for a PL forward.
Shit, and I thought football IQ and smarts mattered. But nah, just need someone as fast as Usain Bolt. Gotcha.

RKM had 26 goals and 17 assists in 50 games for Frankfurt. Those are elite numbers in a top 3 league.
One season. What's he done since? Probably all Enrique and PSG's fault.

For the record, back when he neared the end of his Nantes contract, I was on here saying we should pick him up. He had plenty potential, was available for 10 mil, not expecting to start every game. Banged that drum again when he was doing well at Frankfurt.

But since he's been a ghost, bar a few goals with the France NT. He's badly out of form, match sharpness and can't say he's shown the right mentality, that beast mode. We don't need another Ndombele, even a lite version of, who's gonna come here & sulk whilst on outrageous money. Has he got skills? Yes. But should he get anywhere near our starting 11 or matchday squad? No friggin chance.

That said, he joins, course I'll back the eff out of him and hope he smashes it.

I think Lookman has looked phenomenal in 2024, was traded about on potential a lot and took a long time to find his feet but now he's coming into his own. Also came through at Charlton so counts as HG for the league. I think he would represent a significant upgrade on Richy.

50 games in one season for Frankfurt though.

Can stay fit and produce.

Looked to have plenty football iq and beast mode that year as well.

I’m just not keen to judge anyone based on PSG and he can really play when he’s on form
