Ten Hag was an absolute travesty. Could not coach a high press to save his life, multiple maulings by the analysts like Carragher over his lack of structure/tactics/anything. Surely Brighton's experience with first De Zerbi and then Hurzeler shows that there are guys out there that probably none of us know who are doing a fantastic job around Europe. It is Lange's job to know them, in fact he should have been compiling a list last April as soon as it became clear Ange was a bit of a fraud, and if he doesn't he should be sacked too.

Traditionally, we are bigger than all those teams you've mentioned and yes, not winning a cup as Spurs manager SHOULD be seen as a failure.
Fair play to Harry, he took us from mid-table mediocrity back into the Top 4, but from that point every manager has failed in my book.

Also when Levy took over we were roughly 11th-14th place in the league. He then took us into the top 6 and established us as one of the world's richest clubs. The only other team that managed to break into that group in England were Man City, and they only managed it due to oil billions. Levy basically did it on a zero net spend, and under Poch we very nearly won the league and CL.
All the while the owners of the likes of Everton, Villa, Newcastle, Leeds etc - our rivals when Levy took over - were busy destroying their clubs and taking them into the Championship.
I don't like Levy and don't think he knows much about football, but those who moan about him and claim he's the only one holding us back have to explain which owner they would have preferred over the last 20 years who isn't connected to an oil state or the Russian mafia.
You're right. Based on this I think anyone who demanded Nuno be sacked should also perform a public struggle session on this site before ever offering an opinion again. After all a bloke who can get Forest to be challenging for the title is quite clearly a brilliant manager who no reasonable football fan would ever call to be sacked right?

The longer time passes, the bigger this failure becomes. A serious club doesn't accept that this failure becomes too big. So Emery is failing but his failure is still quite small and there is a good reason for the Villa owners to believe that he actually will win a trophy in the near future. Is Ange's failure small? Yes, it is. Is there a good reason for Levy to believe that he will win a trophy in the near future? No.
