Levy will hate this but he'll have to overpay to get him. 7 clubs chasing him. Imagine it'll be one of Chelsea, Woolwich, us or Villa who get him as us 4 will all be willing to do a permanent deal. The clubs hoping to do a loan deal like United would be ruled out now. Which might help us as rumour was United was the player's first preference.

I know the deal is so unlikely that I'm trying not to get sucked in but I've got sucked in. I'm at the stage now where if we end up signing Wissa instead then it'll feel so underwhelming. I'd have been happy with Wissa a few days ago!

Only natural, I'm the same. Refreshing every few minutes hoping for updates.

I think the fact we've had such a shit season makes it worse, we need any positivity we can get and there's been none. Plus let's be honest we desperately need a new signing to boost the squad.

Would be sickening to see him go to Chelsea or Woolwich or even Villa when they have barely any injuries and they can sit there and bed him in and boast an embarrassment of riches, and we have barely anyone fit.

Wissa would walk into our first team right now, sadly I don't think we could do a reasonable deal with Brentford based on the stance they took during the Toney saga, they probably view us as comparative to them in terms of squad strength so wouldn't make sense to weaken themselves siginificantly right before the window shuts to strengthen a team that, however infeasible, could improve and finish above you come season end. £3m per place on prize money, still in with an outside chance of Europe, think they would quote us something stupid like £80m this late in the day.

We wont be buying him surely? It will be a loan. If he is as good as people think he is then they wont want to lose him full time.
He's barely played for them this season, they got Olise in the summer who has pushed him out of the side, you can't see Kane not playing every minute for them until he's about 35 so there's no real path to the first team for him in the foreseeable future, Bayern probably prefer a straight sale to a loan because the longer he sits on their bench the more his value will depreciate, and if they loan him out there's every bit as much a chance he's a complete flop wherever he goes and his value takes a massive hit, as he performs well and puts himself in the shop window.

I'm not convinced Wissa starts for us when we've a fully fit team available (if that will ever happen again!). Kulusevski Solanke Son would all start over him. Debatable if he'd be much of an upgrade on Richarlison and Brennan too (when they are on form). Tel would start for us. I think he'd push all 3 close and he'd be well clear of Richarlison and Brennan

Nah, right now Wissa causes more problems than Son. Ironically he will help Son he'd be the wall for Son to play off. He's the perfect rotation option with Solanke Richarlison is never going back to what he was. Sold in the summer, Ideally Spurs bring Wissa and Tel in. Competition is what we need. Sonny can be deadly for two more years if he's coming on at the 65 min mark.

Let's be honest every club that are in for him are a worry :pochcry:
I reckon our sales pitch will edge us over the line ahead of the competition...

"Sure we are below all those guys in the league, sure we likely can't offer you European competition next year, frankly we can't really promise you Premier League next season either, no we won't give you the wages that others will, no we don't really do silverware here, that's a bit of an ego thing anyway isn't it? Yes we probably will be asking you to cover right back within the next two weeks, and obviously you'll be de-facto left back cover because Destiny will be injured again within weeks of returning, we're not signing anyone else to fill that gaping squad hole, and like fuck are we going to resort to playing Reguilon, naturally you'll never play ahead of Son at LW, and if Solanke is injured we'll shoehorn Son in there and well it's in Werner's contract that he's our go to option on the LW for some reason, but have you tried Paris Baguette, can't beat it as a post Karting treat, and don't tell the other lads, but we'll give you 10% discount as part of your contract."

You mean the wage structure
We got Romero, Maddison, VdV, Son, Kulu, Vicario all under this wage structure, not to mention very promising players what could do a lot better under a proper manager, like Udogie, Porro, Dragusin.
Do you think we sack Ange and then the likes of Yamal, Kimmich, Bellingham and co sit up and take notice of Ryan Mason's Spurs or something....

I'm not sure it works like that 😆
I don't need to explain that to you, do I? Or are you that dumb for real?
