Son is finished at this level mate. My prayer is we get an unsentimental manager in the summer who sells him to Saudi for £40m while we can still get that for him off his name value. Wissa would certainly be a stronger option than Son at 9 who offers worse than nothing. Kulu only really plays off the right when he plays wide so not massively relevant, Solanke does likely start at 9 over Wissa but Wissa would very likely start off the left for us even with all fit right now.

Off the strength of what evidence will Tel start for us where Wissa wouldn't? He was pretty underwhelming in the Bayern side that had their worst season in well over a decade last year and has been pushed out of the team completely, he might be shit hot or he might just be shit, let's not pretend he's some sure thing or else he wouldn't be sat on the bench watching Olise gobble up all his minutes at Bayern. I'm aware we're in the mud at the moment and just need bodies in to feed the hamstring meat grinder that is Angeball but Tel represents just as much of a gamble as eg Odobert.

I think Son needs to play once a week and there must be recognition that he is not the player he was.

Mo player could look good at the moment, with all that has gone on,

To say finished however is premature at this stage, in my opinion, and I think he will still be an essential part of the team for this season and into much/some of next.

He is finished, whether we want to admit it or not. The Son we used to watch absolutely tearing full backs a new one is long gone, he still chips in with a goal every now and again but his ability to go past a man has diminished to the point where many, many of our attacks break down as a result of the team trying to play through him, not helped by his massive reputation and the captain's armband IMO. It's best for us and him if he goes I think because Ange honestly massively fucked up by making him the captain, I know it was the "obvious" choice but it wasn't the smart choice, you can't bench your captain without it taking up column inches especially if performances falter.

It shouldn't really come as any surprise to anyone to be honest, Son has played an insane amount of football for South Korea and Spurs, not to mention having played a significant amount of football from a young age in Germany, and every player only has so much in them. I don't think we'll see very many attacking players who in any way rely on their physicality performing at a serious level much past 32 in the modern era, they are simply subjected to so much more football at a much higher level at a much younger age than in eras gone by. If Son is to stay we absolutely need to take the armband off him and give it to someone else, so we can manage his minutes. I'd personally rather give him his testimonial and part ways for a good fee.

Tel is hoping United or Woolwich make a big for him. As much as I want him that is a small red flag that he wants to join our rivals over us.

Of course he does and who can blame him! But its not what you want to hear

Cold. Hard. Cash!

It’s amazing what becomes water under the bridge when you’re looking to sell and someone dangles a big bag of cash under your nose!

Not to mention that Munich owe us a ton of cash for Kane still - so they know a payment to them is easy to arrange by reducing their liabilities.

And they need to be nice to us, otherwise we'll demand the rest of money owed !
