I've been arguing this since before Klopp/Pep or Arteta rocked up in the PL mate.

Fergie was a different breed. He came to united with the achievement of winning a Scottish league title with a team that wasn't Celtic or Rangers.

Since 1966, the title has been won by a team other than those 2 only 3 times.
And two of those were Fergies Aberdeen.

And nobody since has won it other than the big 2.

Dundee were the 3rd. Aberdeen beat them 5-1, 3-0 that season. Only Rangere and Celtic beat them other than that.

You cannot say anyone else has achieved that and earned time.

AND Fergies United were generally on the up before a poor league season......where he won a cup.
And Ferguson beat BM and RM in Europe and won two meaningful European trophies

Different breed.

He probably would. He’s a miserable prick with a chip on both shoulders.

I’m actually sick of him now.
Same. I cant be arsed to suffer a heavy or home loss, go to sleep, wake up and see his face plastered all over the media reciting his bullshit answers.

Zero charisma.
Zero experience.
Zero credibility.

Kick his ass out Sunday night. Expecting nothing else than an absolutely toothless performance.

But in hindsight and I get that's twenty twenty it makes sense. Because Conte (self serving egotistical that he was) was telling the truth. Conte has climbed this mountain Rich he knows what is required, and he knew Levy would not provide it. Ange was sincere that's why it's been so painful for him, it's why he CANT ACCEPT REALITY. Those first 20 games were terrible for him because they reaffirmed his faith in a system that had never failed him. The air on this mountain is too rareified for him.

Yeah for sure, all these injuries certainly seem pretty well set to force reality to set in. And if Conte was describing that reality before him, then maybe we need to listen.

The biggest issue I have is that version of reality that Ange is being forced to accept is the same one that Spurs fans also need to accept: which is that we SHOULDN'T ever expect success at this club and our position in the pecking order is pre-defined unless we are owned by a nation state or consortium of foreign investors.

Is that a reality that any Spurs fan should be willing to accept? What is the point in even giving this sport our attention if that is the reality?

Honestly, I remember watching that game up to the ball hitting the net for 3-1 and thinking "if it wasn't for Vicario, this would have been another of those 6+ defeats to live with for a generation"

But some fans, I shit you not, applauded it. We lost 4-1 and it should have been 6+ but for misses and saves and some fans were happy.
I cited the fact 9 man Liverpool were seconds away from a 1-1 draw and had a great chance to make it a 2-1 win before we got the winner. But those fans (you know who they are, mate) said the end result was the same - a loss.
Well, no. Liverpool were genuinely unlucky to leave with nothing.
We were lucky it wasn't a scoreline that would be chanted from the opposition fans for 20 years like this....

Nail on head mate - it's rigged - so just don't let it get to you -

I'd like to think that after he's gone, I don't have to hear another Spurs fan demanding the next* dud is given time.

*That may not be the next manager btw.

How do you think Ange would do at a team like West Ham? Most likely be relegated. But somehow some Spurs fans thinks he's good enough for this club.

Do some people still believe he's the next Fergie?

The football world has been under the illusion all managers know what they're doing and it simply takes time to do it.
If there were more cases of a coach turning troubled team around than just Fergie, they'd have a case.
But I cant think of any.
