ENIC are Sugar on steroids. It's been estimated the club bring in ±£1M in concessions revenue per match, so, yes, any noticeable drop in actual attendance will hit the club where it's noticed by the decision maker, Joe Lewis, which is in the accounts.
ST holders selling on the Exchange make no difference, because it's the same numbers thru the turnstiles. Plenty of ST holders buy those sausage rolls and pints, it's just the shop which may benefit from an Exhange buyer over the ST holder. Though, I can tell you that I've never been to the club shop but I know ST holders who buy loads of that shite. On average, more likely single ticket buyers go to the shop than ST I will concede.
I find the undercurrent of disdain for non-ST holders from many in the base rather ridiculous (and bordering on racist, often, in regards to the asian supporters Son attracts). Whether people like it or not, football has simply changed. It was packaged and sold 30+ years ago. Without the millions upon millions poured into the club by global markets and global supporters, Tottenham would be Fulham or West Ham at best. Sugar had it well on that way before ENIC arrived.
Levy is chairman and a minority owner - he doesn't have control over the capital at his disposal. Whether he agrees or not with the particular fashion in which the club utilizes its capital is, for now, a purely hypothetical debate. Lewis is the one who ultimately controls the allocation of capital at the club, how much is available for the football, etc. and he's not at matches or likely watching. All he cares about is definitely the revenue stream in-so-much as it informs the appreciation of the asset. Revenue slows, the club valuation stalls or recedes.
I hope the sit is is successful. I do very much doubt it's the most effective way.
True. But levy is 25 years in & Chelsea’s owners are new but still finishing above us this year & got in to a cup final last year. So even a mess of owners do better then levy overall. So I’d prefer levy to go. I’d say we are a shambles & unstable this season with levy. He’s shit. I think a clean break will be better than a guy where you are impressed if we finish within 20 points of Woolwich.Yeah, i think the Chelsea experience shows that just dumping all the experience out of a club in one go can lead to instability, and of course Levy does have a wealth of experience and contacts in the football world, for better and for worse. The devil’s in the detail here. If a new ownership gave him the remit of sporting success it could be interesting. If they simply want him to grow their investment it could just be more of the same shite.
They really think we can’t do better than levy! Crazy! A cup every 25 years & finishing miles behind Woolwich. New manager most years . Bad recruitment & poor signings. New owners would struggle to mess up as much as him .Good grief we have people that even if we sell the club want Levy to stay on .
Stockholm syndrome on steroids
Levy was the leader of the pack when it came to being the best of the rest; from 05 - 19.True. Lewis had been exposed in many ways for what a corrupt greedy horrible human he is. Yet still some try to carry on the moral owners & doing things the right way argument. That all got torn about ages ago. The last few who won’t let it go & admit it."Local lads" jesus christ mate its hardly a fucking passion project, they've put less of their own money in to the club than owners who have absolutely no attachment or link to their clubs. It's purely a business project for them and they've demonstrated this time and time again.
Not sure what the difference is between soulless corporate suit from down the road vs soulless corporate suit from America, frankly. Middle Eastern and American money already funds the club to some degree, we'd just be getting it directly instead of indirectly.
I promise you that Lewis, who right now is probably sat in the Bahamas doing some dodgy trade deal with the Saudis, gives just as much of a fuck about his connection to Spurs as Boehly does Chelsea. The cunt doesn't care about locality, he doesn't even want to do the bare minimum for his countrymen and pay his tax.

Well if he doesn’t care. Hopefully he will inform security they don’t need to try to get protesters to take down banners again! We're officially at the point where the anti-Levy/ENIC sentiment is so bad that people are willing to believe whatever ridiculous crap someone posts on social. To believe this you'd have to make the assumption that Levy actually cares about the protests.
I can almost guarantee he doesn't.
The levy lovers seem to be desperate for us to not win stuff & have low expectations. They hate ambition & want us to be grateful for top 4 trophy every 3 or 4 years.Spurs under ENIC aim for 4th at best.
That is not good enough any more.
Levy has created the situation, that has led to him no longer being fit for purpose, by building the megadome and increasing the expectations, (and the fucking ticket prices), by doing so.
His greed has caused all of this.
Please stop apologising for this crap.
That’s my feelings too. He just seems very outdated & old school. Gone very stale. The game has passed him by. Similar to when everyone caught up to wenger & he went from being at the forefront on football philosophy & methods to old hat.Levy was the leader of the pack when it came to being the best of the rest; from 05 - 19.
He's become yesterday's man with his business model and the people at Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton are ripping the miser a new one these days. Villa and Newcastle have also caught up.
Said it on here previously - QSI are actively trying to offload PSG, as their need to be involved with them finished after the World Cup in Qatar. Not going to be easy to do, but if they manage it, I’d be stunned if they didn’t buy us.To loop back to yesterday's Qatar talks. Apparently they/QSI are looking to dislodge themselves from PSG since Al-Khelaifi has gotten in hot water in France, being accused of abuse of power from his position in French football.
If that is more than empty threats it could explain the links. They start selling their ownership in PSG, and use "private" investors to start investing in another club in Europe instead.
Not at all. Sugar didn't understand, foresee, or have the acumen to capitalise on the globalization of football. If Sugar had maintained control Tottenham would be West Ham at best and Birmingham at worst.ENIC are Sugar on steroids.
They worked alongside / for Sugar, as shareholders, from 2001 -2007 when Sugar sold them his remaining stake.
The autocratic and miserly approach to wages, (apart from the Chairman's) has been in place since Sugar arrived in 91.
Levy and Sugar are two cheeks of the same arsehole.
Their shit stinks too.

Hungary is full of Liverpool fans?!So we’ll keep around 7 then , yippee
My mate married a Korean & the majority are Son fans not Tottenham fans & would like to see him play , some actually travel to London & their list includes seeing Son
A similar thing is happening in Hungary , but less fanatical , lots of new Liverpool fans
You know the influx will die down when he leaves / retires , you’ll get the odd one or two who will stay on but the vast majority don’t really care about Spurs
