Vicario strikes me as an intelligent, well-rounded guy with a strong grasp of English—hardly someone reliant on Sky Italia to keep up with what’s happening around him.
And let’s be real, the media may push narratives, but Ange’s fixation on injuries wasn’t one of them. He’s the one who kept bringing it up to defend the poor form, so the constant questioning is a problem of his own making.
Now that ‘no more excuses’ is the prevailing message from the media, he’s bristling—though, to be fair, he bristles at anything remotely challenging his competency as a manager so are we really surprised?
Like I said, he’s insecure hence why he lashes out and quite frankly it’s made him completely unlikeable to people who are well aware of the self-preservation tactics he is constantly deploying.
With injuries no longer a convenient scapegoat, he’s shifted the blame to the supporters instead. But let’s not pretend that after months of headlines dissecting his injury complaints, Vicario remains blissfully unaware. That’s just wishful thinking mate imo.
