What a load of rubbish from Ange. I would've had some sympathy for him if he had some kind of self awareness but he's just so arrogant and deluded. You don't need to be Mr Hindsight to see that the positions of the fullbacks are ridicolously high, that the midfield more often than not is a mess and that our wingers bar maybe Odobert is not suited playing that wide. We have seen that game after game and we will continue to see it in our games ahead. If there were any hopes of him adapting it's fully gone now. He really seems to bury his head in the sand and not even acknowledge that his methods could be at fault.

Worst thing is, a lot of people are actually buying into this shit. "Oh he speaks so well", no he doesn't he has just gone full David Brent again. Regardless, it doesn't really matter how well he speaks when the football he plays is constantly garbage.
Sounds like a man who, is getting his excuses in before he is fired in the summer.

Where am I comparing them Rooster??? I'm merely pointing out that people here are forgetting how bad the football was in Poch's final season. It was on a par with the same shit we've seen this season. Did Poch achieve more at Spurs than Ange has so far? No question he did but let's not pretend his sacking wasn't warranted and let's not pretend he won silverware because he didn't. I'm not knocking Poch. He made us relevant but I personally don't want him back. It rarely works second time around.

Not just the last but also the second half of the CL final season too.

I’m amazed anyone can even still listen to him, the master of using thousands of words to say sod all.

He’s getting to that Brendan Rogers level of having a portrait of himself in his hallway.

Fantastic, honest statements by the great man.
I'm looking forward to him bringing success to THFC.
I love the new players he has brought in and the way we try to play football when everyone is fit.

I don't have any problem with his rant, you want the manager to believe in themselves and not be a shrinking violet.

But if we don't see performances and results on the pitch then it's all bluster. If he were as good as he thinks he is, we wouldn't have lost 18 games already this season.

We've had winter injury crises in both his seasons here and we have had horrendous results against top half teams in both his seasons too. He still has everything to prove and only has a few games left to do it.

I agree but on the same tip, the results during the first winter injury crisis were his second best period at the club. December to March last year was basically 2ppg.

This year the injury’s hit our form and results much worse because there was a European and Cup schedule mixed in. Last year only the league.

Ange and Lange got it badly wrong with squad construction, which he really needs to look at himself for because he’s the one that is building an almost religious determination to play intense football. His comments recently about needing a bigger squad are essentially him admitting that he underestimated the intensity of playing PL and other competitions at the same time because in the summer he was talking about not wanting a bigger squad.

I do agree with him that he’s made it from the bottom of the pyramid to the top and that doesn’t happen if you don’t know what your doing but sameway, the PL is a different beast and there were decisions that he’s made that he’s learned from because they were wrong,

Biggest and most obvious one was a CB like Danso so can play a high line and play the ball.

Not sure I want to listen to him. From the comments here sounds like he might be talking a load of b******s!
🤭

I think we’ve all heard enough from him. There always comes a point with our managers where I get fed up listening to their nonsense and it was about 6 months ago with him. Usually they are sacked weeks after that point but he’s still here enjoying the sound of his own voice. I think he’s just trolling us now.

Like a few posters on here!

He’s an insufferable prick quite frankly that loves the sound of his own voice.

He has the audacity to bring up how he took us from 8th to 5th, conveniently ignoring the fact that we’re now languishing in the bottom half of the table, have been dumped out of every competition except the Europa League, and just scraped past a side several levels beneath us.

His overinflated ego born from insecurity over his background and how he has been exposed in this league only makes him look even more ridiculous when he goes on a rant like this.

Being in a top position doesn’t mean you’re actually competent either btw—just look at politics if you need proof of that.
