Match Tottenham Hotspur VS Eintracht Frankfurt. Thursday 10th April 2025. 8pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was optimistic until I delved into some facts. They are 3rd in the Bundesliga and we have struggled against much weaker German opposition very recently. They hammered Ajax in the last round too. So they’re clearly motivated for this match and this tournament. If we win, it’ll be one of Ange’s most impressive and unlikely results. Likely to be decided in Germany though.
Thanks for the flowers!

But Ajax played with a so-called "B-team" because they didn't really care about the Europa League and wanted to rest their starting eleven to stay ahead in the Dutch championship.

Another example: We win against Bayern and lose the next matchday to a team that hasn't won a game yet (and I don't mean the first matchday).

Frankfurt is also called the "Diva of the Main," and I think it's all up for grabs.
Two good teams - I'm looking forward to April 10th and 17th.

Forza SGE/COYS!

This might be good news if I thought we might try pepper their goal… we just know we won’t have a shot in the first half…

Honestly, that's the least of my worries.
Kevin Trapp played with pain for a long time and thus couldn't demonstrate his full potential.
The "minor mistakes" piled up, and maybe it's a good thing that he's not being played for as long as necessary.
If he came back too early and made a mistake, some would be after him like hyenas again.

Some have already written him off completely.
(I'll always remember the 118th minute in the final against Rangers.)

BUT Kaua Santos is also a really good player!
When he was in our team for the second time, I had 0.0% fear that things would go wrong.
If you want (I'll always remember that with him), watch Eintracht's game in Istanbul.
Sensational goalkeeping!

What you make of that loss to Bremen mate?

I watched it and it did look like they were trying to me but maybe you saw a team with half an eye on Thursday already?

You might think so, yes.

But I don't believe it.
The players knew that three points in Bremen would bring us a step closer to the Champions League.
Against a team that had won three home games up to that point!

But that's typical of my club!
That's why we call her the "Diva from the Main."
Overjoyed - heartbroken!

No, I saw the game as being abysmally awful, that Werder Bremen absolutely deserved to win, and that the coach had the wrong team setup (Götze on the right wing instead of behind the strikers, Larsson as a number 10 instead of on the right)!
If the players had also thought about the game at the Tottenham Hotspur FC Stadium, we would have gone home with a 10-0 defeat.

The players haven't forgotten how to be good players. What's happened is everyone's concerned about everything except being a team.

Yes the season is shit. Yes the manager and his tactics are shit etc. There are dynamics in every team that people on the outside dont know about.

Those dynamics can be positive then turn negative. I would guess something like that is happening with this team.

Ange should have a meeting and clear the slate with every single player. Forget his strict philosophy and tell them that all games and the playing of them will be evaluated as they come up. The EL is what this season is now about .

Ange is gone and a few players are as well. That doesn't mean that every player cant find some glory in winning this thing . Put six weeks together and the outlook changes to the positive for everybody if they get their act together.

The team needs a real leader to step up now!

It would also be good to see Ange show some passion and leadership during games. Show that he cares and every player should care as well.

Instead of fighting with fans how about blowing up at some of these shit decisions and standing up for your players! When your opposition starts shithousing get in there and shithouse right back. And do a better job of it.

I couldn't give a flying fuck about who is to blame at this point in time. I just want to get enjoyment out of my side winning something and doing something positive.

The rest is for another day after the season and when the EL is won.
