Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It will be sell before we buy in the summer unless we get CL. Our cash flow is low without that or external money coming in this summer. If you go through the finances you can see Levy has fucked it. He basically admitted in his statement the other week that we wouldn’t be spending much going forward.
If that's the case, then I can't see how we can build a team for the top 4/5 again, especially if our best players leave. That's truly a messed up outcome from where we were a few years ago. Crap managers, average players, lots of money wasted, going backwards rather than forwards. Tragic.

News today is that Leeds are drawing up a list of new managers for their time in the Prem. Only Spurs could sack Ange and then have him beat us home and away with Leeds next season. You can almost see it already!!!

The standard that some people have for what type of players that we are meant to get is just odd.

Is Danso a top of the line, world class CB? No. Is he a good CB? Yes.

We don't shop in the top of the line aisle apart from the odd Rafa van der Vart gamble. But we can still get good professional footballers in the side.
If he can stay fit, works under a manager who knows about defending, and has a reliable & constant CB partner next season, I tip big Kev to have a POTY-worthy season.

The man is an absolute beast physically, what a unit. And he can play. He's got the pace, the tekkers and the guts. Equally important, he sounds like a good kid, not a whiny little bitch like some of his current teammates.

Bingo. The spectrum of what constitutes a good football player is quite wide.

If we don't win the EL then we won't be shopping at the top of the shelf, but we rarely do to begin with. And it looks doomy and gloomy with Chelsea, Newcastle and Villa looking to spend big in the summer as per reports. But we can still build a good team. Not league champion good but certainly better than 16th in the table good (and our current team is better than that they are just abysmally coached).

People just need to be prepped for next season to be a bit of a reset year with the focus back on being competitive instead of out and out ass.

Came out of La Castilla and was good enough to notch a couple apps for Real's first team. But then they sold him for less than 10mil when they didn't need the money and weren't that well stocked at CB.

He's doing well at Lazio, but nowhere near elite. Defo not one of Serie A's top 5 CB in my books...maybe not even top 10. But still a young man, plenty time to improve.

Kid is quick, very good passer, can play CB or RB, has CL experience...but he's also error-prone, wasteful in possession, bang average in the air and he lacks discipline. His injury record scares me too...he's had two serious enough muscle injuries them last two years.

Very much feels like a right-footed VdV or Romero v2.0 so I say we can - and should - do better.

Just called up to the Spanish squad for their latest games.
I haven't seen much of him but he's Lazio's best defender and considered one of the better CB in Seri A this season - and have at times played DM. His biggest weakness is aerial. For a CB he's got good technical abilities, he's composed on the ball and he likes to carry the ball out to start attacks. A good passer, very quick with and without the ball. He can be a little mistake prone positionally wise at times, but he can make it up with his pace and excellent tackling ability as he doesn't shy away from a tough tackle. Not the flashiest CB, but reliable.
Real M. owe 50 % of sales and, I understood, have a buy back clause
