Not easy to negotiate with a Rat.

Bin Maddison, sign Eze.

Maddison is a better player than Eze in every measurable way.

Sign Eze, sure, but not replace Maddison with Eze whose only "pro" is that he's 18 months younger.

Haven't seen anything myself to say he's worth £40mil

Would rather get an experienced player

Honestly with the going rate for wingers $30-35 millions is probably about right for someone of his reputed level. I like him enough but am not a fan of the logjam at LW with Son, Moore, Odobert, Richy all splitting time at the spot.

Obviously I wish the club would go for a better more established winger who can help immediately, but we’re just not really going to do that unless it falls to us somehow.

Whew damn that is a bold claim. I like Delap a lot but I’d be careful saying that- sadly I think it’s possible Delap never really figures out how to score prolifically at the Prem level. Gyokeres has at least done that in Portugal.

Aside from playing in a much harder league and playing for a shit Ipswich I have watched him a lot this season, he is powerful in the air, brilliant dribbler, very aggressive, good finisher when he gets the chance, always involved. His style is very similar to Gyokeres, he isn’t that level but he has arguably been in a much tougher situation. Everton, Newcastle, Man United and Chelsea are all trying to buy him, he isn’t the finished product but I doubt you will find many better strikers at his age anywhere in Europe.

I said I like him. I’m just not sure he should be considered on par with gyokeres yet. We will see though.
