Sacking Ange doesn't mean pushing on it means starting again. New manager might not like half the squad. Changing style will take time to implement. There is no guarentee we push on with a new manager but obviously that's no reason to keep Ange.
TBF I don't get the impression ange likes half the squad anyway.
He's got to blame his tactical ineptitude in the league on something. He's ran out of excuses but for players now.
(although it'll be CL games if he stays on for next season)
Leaving and out of contract technicalities are: Davies, Tel, Werner, Forster, Reguillon, Whiteman
That would leave 23 players out of the current squad:
Vicario/Kinsky/Ausin
Udogie/Porro/Spence
Danso/VdV/Romero/Dragusin
Gray/Bergvall/Sarr/Bentancur
Son/Maddison/Bissouma/Kulusevski/Johnson/Odobert
Richarlison/Solanke/Scarlett
Plus seemingly returning players:
Gil/Min-Hyeok/Solomon/Phillps/Vuskovic/Devine/Veliz
So potentially a squad of 30 if you assume everyone returns and that's our first team. He was very reluctant to use Spence, obviously doesn't rate Gil or Solomon, didn't seem that keen on Dragusin.
I reckon that, looking at the above, and assume some players leave, we've probably go to replace half the first team anyway.
So the question is, should we be rebuilding the team with players a guy wants who we know is probably gone by October anyway. Shades of AVB and Poch, which took us 4-5 years to recover from
