Tough to keep track of all his quotes but he's said about Season 3 being better than Season 2. And also about sometimes killing off the main character.

It's all just a bit of pantomime in my opinion.

Yeah he’s just enjoying the moment and bigging himself up a bit. He’s allowed to have some fun at Levy’s expense now, I’d probably be baiting him too if I were in his position. I’m sure he knows he’s likely to be sacked so why not make Levy squirm a bit.

Just put him and us out of our collective misery ffs

There’s cunts in Hobart wearing brand new Spurs shirts, apparently “Bissim” is our best player because he danced well

I’m not even the cool kid anymore, glory hunter in my own country and an Ange disciple in a place I lived in for three years

Sacking Ange doesn't mean pushing on it means starting again. New manager might not like half the squad. Changing style will take time to implement. There is no guarentee we push on with a new manager but obviously that's no reason to keep Ange.

TBF I don't get the impression ange likes half the squad anyway.

He's got to blame his tactical ineptitude in the league on something. He's ran out of excuses but for players now.
(although it'll be CL games if he stays on for next season)

Leaving and out of contract technicalities are: Davies, Tel, Werner, Forster, Reguillon, Whiteman

That would leave 23 players out of the current squad:

Vicario/Kinsky/Ausin
Udogie/Porro/Spence
Danso/VdV/Romero/Dragusin
Gray/Bergvall/Sarr/Bentancur
Son/Maddison/Bissouma/Kulusevski/Johnson/Odobert
Richarlison/Solanke/Scarlett

Plus seemingly returning players:
Gil/Min-Hyeok/Solomon/Phillps/Vuskovic/Devine/Veliz

So potentially a squad of 30 if you assume everyone returns and that's our first team. He was very reluctant to use Spence, obviously doesn't rate Gil or Solomon, didn't seem that keen on Dragusin.

I reckon that, looking at the above, and assume some players leave, we've probably go to replace half the first team anyway.

So the question is, should we be rebuilding the team with players a guy wants who we know is probably gone by October anyway. Shades of AVB and Poch, which took us 4-5 years to recover from

I think Levy is going to sack him.

The Ten Hag fiasco is too hard to ignore.

It's a possibility but United haven't exactly done better sacking ten Hag, regardless of what time they sacked him.

I can't look at any of our sackings and say that Levy had the timing right.

Most of Levy's sackings are mid-season panic due to letting our best players leave and not having the right recruitment of players.

If Levy does sack Ange he better do it quick and find a Champions League manager or another preseason will be ruined.

If you think in terms of that squad plus two years I think it looks pretty good. We've already been through a roster purge, so while you might want to add some veterans I don't think you have to send away many of these guys. Just get the best from them.

It's so weird reading some of the views on show.

Just blows my mind.

How many defeats since VIlla away in the 2023/24 season?

Forget any fcuking notion of winning the CL next year.

Just how does this manager get any squad into the top 5, let alone higher?

I think he will get the start of next season to try and turn it around.

And tbf I do wonder just how much of the league form was the rotation decisions EG no defence playing together and resting other key players. And also the players despite how shit it was knowing there was so danger of relegation and also no chance to get anything else from the league.

If 8 games in we have lost 5 or something I can see him getting the sack.

The EL win buys him this time nothing more as without the EL run and now win, the league form would of had him sacked a long time ago.

I know people are looking into the fact Ange DIDN'T address the crowd yesterday as some sort of indication he knows he's off ..

But personally, I reckon they took the mic. off him in CASE he made any more wild movie themed prophecies like he did from the Podium on Friday!!!!🤪
:ange-arms::ange-arms2::ange-lol::ange-pray::ange-facepalm:
Maybe Levy had a word with him.
“The first rule of the third season, is you do not talk about the third season”.

I think the board, the sports organisation, this new guy from Woolwich and Paratici, are smart enough to realize that giving him the start of next season will not be turning anything around. He will be fired as soon as the successor is done.

How can anyone think that is okay?

The league form has been consistently bad since April of 2024. Honestly, I don't think rotation has anything to do with it. It's just been the long term direction of the team..

Giving him the first ten or so games to see where we are would be the worst thing we could do.. Either make a commitment to him because you think he's the right man, by surrounding him with top coaches.. Or make a decision to end it now because you don't think he's the right man..

Giving him the first couple months smacks of, "We'll get stick if we sack him now. So lets wait until the feeling on him turns again, and criticism of us sacking him would be at a minimum and then we'll do it. " By then we've wasted a fantastic opportunity to kick on thats fallen in our lap. It would be typically cowardly of this board, so I agree that's what I think they'll do.

Super post. Spot on.

I think it's clear what needs to be done, but whatever the decision, it needs to be fully back or say goodbye.
