Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

From Gold's lips to God's ears, but I can't understand waiting until July 1 to sack him if you need to find a replacement. 6 weeks of uncertainty? When you need to do a decent amount of summer business, no one to help direct it?
I said I wasn't going to get mad whichever decision gets made (and I stand by that), but if they fuck about with backroom staff stuff and put off the decision until goddamn JULY I am going to get very mad

Because he blew a 2-0 lead in one half against a Croatian side whose manager was in prison. Because he shipped five goals to fucking Everton. Because Literally Timo Werner outscored his side over two legs.

Nobody opposed his Cup Final week sacking more than me, but he had his chances, it was a misbegotten appointment.

(I see on Wikipedia we lost at home to Norwich in the FA Cup, I don't even remember that game tbh. I bet it was shit)
Again, I don't see how that's much different from the season we have just had. Ange was allowed to redeem himself; Jose was not.

...which is why I think there was more to Jose leaving. The club, to their credit, have never aired dirty laundry despite hiring some difficult and dodgy managers (including AVB and Redknapp in that, and especially Graham)

Injury Crisis - caused by Ange 'its who we are mate!'
Both also beat better teams in their respective finals than we did. You have to ask yourself how hard was it to beat 15th place Man utd as opposed to champions Liverpool and top 5 Man City

What a stupid hypothetical comparison to try and diminish a fantastic achievement.

So many negative people on here, it’s truly incredible how thick some people are in try to sabotage something beautiful.

Ange is here to stay 25/26, so go cry your tears.

This uncertainty is helping nobody. Other clubs are signing players to improve and we who finished 17th don’t even know who our manager will be. If an announcement one way or the other hasn’t been made by the end of the week then it’s clear Levy is dithering.

Must be a harry7 multi ...only he talks this much rubbish...

If we don’t hear anything by the end of this week about his future then it means Levy is undecided and the Europa win has given him second thoughts. And the longer it drags on, the further behind we will be next season. Other clubs are already signing players. There is only so far being in the CL is going to get us when it comes to transfers. Levy needs to decide quickly and we need to move forward. Although, if Thomas Frank is the replacement then I am not convinced we will do better than mid table next season.
Ange is on hols so you won't hear anything this week.

BTW, Poch is nowhere near being a legend. :coys:

For me he is. He made us a consistent top four side who were hard to beat, got us to a CL final and had us in a title race of sorts in 2016. His period was the most consistent I’ve ever seen us. He might not’ve won a trophy but Ange did and Poch is a much better manager. But that’s another topic.

As for Ange, this is reminding me and more of the mess Man Utd made with ten hag last year and I think it will end the same way - him staying.

not a formal announcement but maybe a club briefing to journalists
Sure, but that realistically would never happen. Ange will be told in house I'd say a day or two post holiday. He'll then have a sit down interview with any Tom, Dick or Harry arranged to supposedly talk about the recent trophy, etc but he'll also, obviously, be asked about his future. And that is when he'll likely reveal to the world he's had a chat with Daniel. And that in itself, if he's still in the job by the time the interview happens, will indicate he's been given more time.

I read somewhere Ange has gone on holiday. Well deserved etc and not right time to sack someone just after winning europa league and just before holiday break. Imo i think he will be gone when he returns from holiday and the dust settles. Looked at EPL table on SSN earlier. Our league position is a disgrace.
Several people have said this and I must ask, why can't you sack someone who's on holiday?

My guess is that his agent is in contact and that they have cell service in Ibiza or Goldie, where ever.

Bzz. "Hey, you're out." "Have it your way, mate." done.
