Why would levy spend 300k a week for 4 years plus a 20m signing on fee for a 29 year old winger when he can buy Roony Bardghji, a 19 year old winger recovering from an ACL with 1 year left on his contract for £10m.

Do y'all not understand yet how this club operates?

Fair point but a 29 year old with fcuk all to prove, who Bayern are happy to sell (release), and in truth who has done very little for their outlay.

Wake-up mate, or have you not seen how good Sterlimg is now?

We need to find 22/23 year olds, just on the cusp, who have not, admittedly had serious injuries.

If I had a choice I'd take ramsdale over Vic..
And sane.. absolutely for 2 years he'd be fine. from what I saw of him last season at Munich he's still a top class act BUT can't for a minute think he'll be cheap or there will be much of a deal to be made.@ 29 and a free agent he'll be looking towards getting a large contract.

If we don’t sell Romero- how much we will realistically have to spend, and who would we actually sell?

The only obvious two I can think of are Bissouma and Bentancur, and now with CL it seems likely we’ll keep at least one of them. I agree that would give us 90, maybe 100 mill to spend.

Cardoso in, Gray as RB/CDM/CB6, and Vuskovic in as CB 5. One combo attacker like Eze or Mbeumo- that’ll probably be about it.

Based on how we’ve seen Spence used lately it’s possible Gray is the new RB2.

If we only had 100m to spend 26 on Cardoso and 65-75 for Mbeumo probably would be one of the best ways to spend it honestly. We need a marquee attacker so badly…

Well, let's think about the squad positions that need to be filled.

Davies - CB
Werner - Left Wing
Tel - Left Wing
Reggie - Left Back
Forster / Whiteman - Keeper

Center Back - Playing Viskovic/Gray as CB will be a disaster. We need to sign a good quality left footed CB with VDV's attributes (speed, height). 20m

Left Wing - Son is getting older. Odobert isn't good enough quality. We need to sign a starter - 50m

Full Backs - Need to sign a quality full back, good enough to challenge Udogie. 25m

Whatever the budget is, we have already spent 36m (Danso 25, Voskovic 11). Realistically, to sign the above players we need another 100m - and that doesn't consider that we desperately need a number 6 (Cardosa @ 25m?).

So, 180m of players need to come in - and Levy has said that there is no money to spend. We could raise around 70-80 in player sales. So I'm guessing we may see some loans in.

Son isn't going to be replaced like for like, would rather adapt and play Spence and Porro further up the pitch instead of wasting more money on wing forwards. Prioritize defence and midfield signings. BJ , Kulusevski and Solanke will ensure the goals will come if there is enough defensive resilience and a strong midfield

All of this discussion about Tel is pointless. The kid is going to stay, whether we like it or not. It screams of a Levy signing. He’s still only 19, so I do have high hopes for him after he gets adapted to the pace of PL football.

May happen because Levy’s ego can stomach the idea of having stupidly wasted €10M on Tel’s loan fee - so perhaps he’ll add an another stupid decision on top of already made stupid decision to pay the loan fee.

But let’s see how much Bayern are willing to lower the transfer fee because NO way even Levy and our scouting dept spend €55M and maybe Paratici can put a stop to the whole thing unless the fee gets down to the Bergvall level of €10-12M.

But crazy to spend a lot on another yet another speculative winger when we already have Oddobert, Moore, Yang and Ajayi.
