Its hard to go against the players though. I am not convinced about Ange one bit. Think its pretty likely we will end up sacking him half way through next season if we keep him which is the worst case scenario for everyone.I dont like that it seems like the players are dictating the Ange is staying. If they decide he's staying then fine but not because the players seem to be putting pressure on them to come to this decision.
I agree with what you're saying, I just do not like the fact that they appear to hold so much power. Its hard to go against the players though. I am not convinced about Ange one bit. But it is quite incredible the backing he is getting from the players. They have almost all gone out of their way to let the media know how much they want Ange to stay. I think its almost a bigger gamble to sack him now. New manager would have a very tough job getting the same level of support!
I'll put this down to a backroom leadership that lacks a dominant figure. We all saw Levy in all or nothing, he is good at his overall job but he isn't some sort of dominant presence. Same for Lange, and Scott Munn barely seems to exist. Ange has been allowed to be that dominant figure behind the scenes and he has the players charmed. Of course they are going to go to bat for him.I agree with what you're saying, I just do not like the fact that they appear to hold so much power.
Not been good enough for a long time, needs upgrading more than any other position on the pitch IMO, no tragedy if he goes.
"Future captain" is fucking petrifying.
Even at his best he hasn't shown enough IMO, I'd say he'd be fine as a bench/rotation option but what does he really offer from the bench? You don't bring him on to chase a game and you don't bring him on to see one out either. If he doesn't start he doesn't get minutes so should be shifted on.Fairs but no-one's been good enough really, tells you more about the coaching if anything.
He does always ball out for his country so there's something there, agreed we need better though.
Why would you commit the rest of your career to a club when you don’t know if you’re in the managers plans

National form is not terribly relevant to club form, GLC is an important part of the Argentina setup and though he missed out on the WC he has won 2 Copa Americas with them, absolutely never good enough for us though.

Does it bollocks, he’s not been good enough under various managers including at Juve who couldn’t wait to get shot of the fucking plodder.
I don't get the captain comment at all though. That made no sense
Felt like that. I'm a massive fan of Bentancur but if we are serious about competing next season then we should be signing a top midfielder and relegating Bentancur to the bench and use him as an effective squad player.
