Lol - the vast vast majority of Spurs fans are happy to shake Ange's hand, thank him from the bottom of our hearts, and wish him the best in the rest of his career.

This still implies they want him to go, which would make his post technically correct ... they just might not refer to him as the butcher, in fairness.

I really don't like him as a person but I'd still very happily say thanks for his role in the cup win and enjoy your pay out.

There are plenty of people who were and remain vehemently Ange Out who took singular joy in a once in a generation achievement and who thanked Ange for it, never once tried to minimise the achievement and what it means for us fans and the club going forward, and still want to see him go...

It's really not that hard.
Sensible people know that the stars all aligned for us in Europa this year.

What it means "for the club going forward" as you put it is yet to be determined. No one knows what effect, if anything, it will have on the club's prospects - if it will change the culture somehow, or if it will simply be another occurrence like Ramos' win

We've just won the fucken UEFA cup and we'll go into the European super cup with a new manager and a deflated squad.

We are fucken mental. Total self harm

Yeah we wouldn't want a deflated squad causing bad results after we win the European Cup. Got to keep all this incredible momentum we have.

(We literally lost 4-1 to Brighton at home the game after winning that cup. They might be really, really happy. It's not making them play any better.)

The problem is most sensible people can do the maths and work out we won't be doing that every year under him just because we did it this year, because cup runs like this aren't something you can guarantee.
And yet you are constantly guaranteeing our poor form in the league will continue. And yet you are constantly guaranteeing we will get relegated under Ange. And yet you are constantly guaranteeing we won't be winning anything under Ange again. Honestly how this works?

No one will be saying it doesn't matter who the manager is if we're in a scrap at the bottom of the table come new year's.

It's better than your reasonings of which I've seen genuinely fuck all. I am yet to see a single actual reason to keep this manager other than vibes. Seriously.

We're not in the Europa League next season. There is zero evidence whatsoever Ange can win a single thing against top PL opposition, and in fact a huge body of evidence that his team gets the shit kicked out of it when we come up against elite sides.

You want to keep him here based on winning a EL .. which we aren't in next season so can't win again, and if we keep him here we're unlikely to be in it the season after either as his trajectory in the league is absolutely clear and very downward. So why keep him? Vibes again. That or hoping for an easy run in the league cup or something. Give me a break.

All very good poitns.

Serious question (maybe should be placed elsewhere but whatever) - which manager do you think will get us Europe next year if we do little or no business this summer? Say... Gomes and Tell in and that's it (maybe Romero out?).

Does Frank or Silva cut it for that?

Every single sign says the league form will be fucking shit. It's been fucking shit for going on a year and a half. Not a single iota of improvement in this. It's as close to a guarantee as you can get that we won't get any better whilst our rivals are all swarming around to make big transfers.

I've never thought for one second we will get relegated under him, the bottom three are too terrible.

We might win something again under Ange, its just incredibly unlikely because to win a domestic competition you probably have to beat a City, Liverpool, Woolwich or more than one of these, or even a Villa or Newcastle who are proven to be better than us too. It's not the Europa. There is no evidence he is able to win against the best PL sides consistently.

OMG the going forward bit is being in the FUCKING CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.

Not too mention the Trophy monkey finally being off the back.

Like you cannot be serious asking this? Not even Gooner fans are this fucking delusional about what that cup meant. Jesus christ...

Good post.

There were 250, 000 of us in North London the other week.

The "vocal minority" causing "painful screeching dissonance" are the incel basement dwellers who have spent most of their time since we won a fucking European Trophy trying to piss on regular fans chips about it.

Christ the levels of delusion about this fan base. You're all so online you have no idea whatsoever of normal people. :roflmao:
Most of those at the parade want him gone.

Getting caught up in the day is one thing.

Back to reality and what needs to be done, now.

The only incel freaks detached from reality are the ones who want to suck him off for feels whilst we get pumped week-in week-out.

The league wasn't enough, now they want to see us get gashed out in the CL.

Enjoy the cup, we all do; also, get fucking real.

He needs gone.

Join the sane majority.

Ok yeah, you're right. We lost to Brighton after winning the UEFA cup. You're only as good as your last game.

We therefore have no trophy. Sack him.

I would assume that with CL football we do more business than that.

Frank is proven to get more from less. I'm not overly sold on Silva as I think he's more wedded to the low block and we've seen how that flies with our fans .. he's just very milquetoast. I view Frank as being more a "maybe" - I'm not 100% sold on him but I like elements of what he's done at Brentford and like how he comes across.

Next season could be rough regardless as the CL is hugely distracting, like a lot more distracting than the Europa. The next manager should get leeway on the basis we're seeing progress throughout the season.

You ignored what I said. Does winning Europa change the whole club's culture, or is it an isolated occurrence like Ramos winning the Carling in 2008

*Rolls eyes*

Yeah THAT is what I was saying.

You were talking about carrying momentum & joy in to the super league as if we've seen any evidence of any momentum outside of a single cup competition. I can tell you right now none of the players happiness will mean shit against PSG.

Fucken milquetoast. Listen to yersel ye pretentious wank. Ange is the antithesis of your milquetoast, yet you want him fucked off.

Hang on - do you fully understand the nature of a "hypothetical"? You aren't being asked on the likelihood of it. You're being asked on the FACT of it.

I'm sorry if I've misunderstood your misunderstanding...
Would you consider yourself a Spurs fan, or a glory supporter?

Because if you don't care about what you (presumably) watch from us every week, as long as you get to crow about winning a trophy, it doesn't really seem like you care about Spurs that much.

Would you chop your cock off if you were told that one night in May you'd get to have a wild night with the superstar of your choosing? Whether or not you get your cock back afterwards is unclear BTW?

Would you choose to eat only 10 meals from August this year to May next year on the understanding that you'd get the best meal ever on one special day at the end of it? Again, any subsequent meals, or not, following that are undetermined.

Not wanting to trade an extended period of miserable, for one night of joy, isn't nearly as ludicrous to me as you make out.

Hypothetically, what does us winning CL mean to you, if Spurs ate undeniably shit, you know Spurs are shit, the whole world knows Spurs are shit, and watching us play is a shit experience?

We don't know do we? Except that winning a European Trophy is a vastly greater achievement than a league cup -regradless of level of opposition. The Scum are in all sorts of agony about it. Rightly so.

But the winning of it is the crucial first step. Like... this so blindingly obvious. Are you even a Spurs fan? It's just you guys are so fucking alien to everything I experienced in Bilbao and then back at the Lane... It's hard to understand why you post like this - you're just so unlike every "normal" Spurs fan IRL.

It's so fucking weird and sad.

How long will the "he won us that trophy" thing work? If we resume the pose the first 10 games of the coming season, will it still make him bulletproof? Does he get the whole season because he might be able to improbably win a cup again, no matter how bad things are in the league?
