On paper, our PL managerial record seems (from my recollections certainly) to be terrible when hiring someone who's never managed in the PL (thinking Gross, Santini, Ramos, Ange), and generally good when it is some kind of perceived underwhelming option (Jol [partial outlier from the previous], Redknapp, Poch) and a car crash overall when trying for the 'exciting' options (AVB, Mourinho, Conte).
As noted, there are outliers in there, but I think the only trend we need to be careful of is doing what United have done (and us, to a smaller extend) and hiring in some jazzy manager with no PL experience. It's a tough league.
I'm nervous about Glasner for that reason, but he's done well at Palace so I can see why he's a really good option.
People get underwhelmed by cheap/young signings too, when some of our best players have been exactly that.
I think our league form will improve dramatically next season even with Ange.I loved winning a cup but you cannot seriously tell me that the Europa League win indicates a direction of travel but our league form somehow doesn't? The league is where we play most of our matches and forms the biggest body of work for us to judge. What in the league have you seen that says we won't be pissing around the bottom half again next season? I haven't seen anything that suggests that won't still be the case next year.
We are Spurs, we shouldn't be taking these kind of Nuno punts again.Good.
As for the Frank question, it's still irrelevant because its unknown other than he has done a good in the PL for 7 years.
Poxhettino didn't do that much before he came to us.
Same with some players. You take a punt.
Ish
His record against City and Villa isn’t bad,
He’s beaten Liverpool twice as well.
But the results against Woolwich and Chelsea are shite. Unacceptably shite
Our record against City is freakish. It's as good as it is bad against that filthy club.
We have regressed re: Woolwich.
Postecoglou has failed to add value,or tocreate anythjng of substance.
Take the bloke out of ut, and simply ask yourself are we really better now than when he arrived? That's 2 years toput something in place.
It's not a hard question.
I want a coach who knows how to win. Winning breeds more winning.
For the record, I want Ange gone but why are we not trying to upgrade. Plenty of managers our there with better pedigree's than Frank. I don't think you can guarantee we finish bottom 3-4 again under Ange. You say it like it's a given clearly forgetting he finished 5th in his first season. How many ppg did Frank get against Spurs last season under shitty Ange?
4 years. Before that he was busy not achieving automatic promotion from the Championship with Toney, Benrahma, Raya, Mbuemo, Janelt, Norgaard, etc.As for the Frank question, it's still irrelevant because its unknown other than he has done a good in the PL for 7 years.
It's a cult. Deny the truth that is evident and established. Rubbish any alternative, over inflate the achievements of our chosen one and overlook the multiple data points that if given longer he will cause the club real harm. I admire the people still bothering to contend them, but it's a waste of time. At this point they may as well be that newsreader on North Korean state television. When Postecoglou is replaced all these heroes of the upside and positivity will be queuing up to kick the new coach at every turn because their man was 'better'.

BTW. Frank has managed in the PL for 4 seasons not 7 and has a best finish of 9th... if that is doing good then fair play.
The difference with Pochettino was that he was young, up and coming, hadn't reached his ceiling and whilst I accept it was a punt he actually did finish 8th in his one completed PL season (higher than anything Frank has achieved). Frank is a known commodity across his entire coaching career. What you see is what you get... a bloke who will win some, lose some, not trouble the big sides and finish somewhere in the middle of the pack... not good enough to worry the elite, not bad enough to get dragged into a relegation battle. With Frank, our new rightful place in the world order (Premier League) will be 9th or 10th.
What’s your laundry got to do with anything?!Oh, the ironing.

You claim everybody you know wants Ange out...
Why can't you just accept the fact that not everybody agrees with you and also accept the possibility that you Ange Abusers might be in the minority among the fanbase?
Anyway the poll has rattled your and other's cages so my job here is done.

All we need is a sensible manager with ambitious transfers.Frank, yes 4 years in the PL. 7 in total. Apologies.
By your token we should not then sign players who aren't already at top clubs or from the lower leagues.
And Slot at Liverpool. Punt or inspired?
What do you suppose the mean average you are using for Frank tells us about the expected league position for Postecoglou? Go head tell us what we have too look forward to. As for your reached the coaching ceiling...its entirely your subjective opinion. We are Spurs, we shouldn't be taking these kind of Nuno punts again.

He gets 9th or 10th with Brentford already, with more resource you're saying he will be the same?We are Spurs, we shouldn't be taking these kind of Nuno punts again.

Our league form under Poch from Jan to May in 2019 was 10 wins, 2 draws, 7 losses. 55% win ratio. Extrapolate it out to a whole season and he would be 4 pts worse off than Ange was last season with no Europe and out of both cups early. He did that whilst maintaining a CL push, getting to a league cup semi (only losing on penalties), and signing absolutely zero players for 3 windows in the process. Poch had not run out of ideas, he just wasn't ever given the tools to properly succeed. I hold the belief he should not have played a half-fit Kane in the final, even though I also would happily admit I don't think starting Lucas Moura would be very likely to have made a difference, but he was literally the only reason we were there in the first place. Despite that we certainly did not get walked over in the final, we played well enough where having a fully fit and sharp Kane would have 100% been a huge "what if" factor in a different outcome.yeah it wasnt a great final - but our perfoamces towards theend of that season were dogshite forthemost part - Poch had just run out of ideas.
People get very blinded by the feeling of coming back from basically being out of the CL vs Ajax and mistake that high feeling with one that we were somehow in form and playing well at that time. Don't get me wrong - the comeback was incredible - inspired - i was buzzing for days - but that doesn't mean we were a good footballing outfit at that time.

This reads as a briefing from the club to Matt Law and roughly translates as:
We are about to sack a popular manager who just won us a trophy and we know the fans have been protesting to get us out BUT this time we promise it will be different. We will absolutely spend money on established players this time, we promise.
4 years. Before that he was busy not achieving automatic promotion from the Championship with Toney, Benrahma, Raya, Mbuemo, Janelt, Norgaard, etc.
They had an insane team for that division, with Frank's player development abilities playing a role in that of course.
All we need is a sensible manager with ambitious transfers.
Slot would not get this team in champions league.
I reckon Ange would get this pool team playing some pretty good football TBF.
No manage can polish turds in the long run.
