Can you imagine if it was Brentford poaching our manager and they made a thread on their forum before anything had been confirmed - you lot would think they were a bunch of bell tops

Can someone on this thread make the case for Frank for those of us who are underwhelmed by the prospect? :avbmad:

He's not Ange.

Every clip I'm seeing of Frank's tactics is basically just brentford countering on a team pushing up against them and scoring. Teams don't push up against us! I haven't seen one clip of brentford mechanically breaking down a low block.

We were good wheb teams pressed up against us. Just watch any of the goals from the 3-0 United win, 4-1 Villa win and 4-0 City win! Problem is teams stopped pressing on us and instead sat. Does Frank solve any of this? Unlikely! Guess he does stop us from giving away stupid goals tho so that'll be an improvement! If teams sit on us and defend really well the we probably draw some games 0-0. Better than losing I guess!

One of these vids going around in an effort to fluff him, he's asked about attacking low blocks.

Answer = Spam crosses into the box.

Can't wait.

It's worse than dogshit. Under any manager Ange included we will not lose 22 games next season and finish 17th. Third biggest spenders over last three seasons... once Villa cut their cloth we will have 6th highest wage bill next season so minimum is 6th.
I know wage bill usually equates to league finish and we’ve spent loads but spending lots does not equate to quality. Our biggest signings over the last 3 windows have been Richarlison, Johnson and Solanke. Really average quality, mid table players. A bit much to expect a new manager to turn such bang average players into a top 6 club.
