It pisses me off that we are in this situation. Of course, we needed a no 10 anyway but as always if anything can go wrong for us, it does. See a move collapses for a very good 8/10 in MGW and weeks later, Maddison crocked for the very long term.

Couldn't make it up.

We've gone from talking about who will play is it Maddison or MGW and now we have neither.

Also annoying that apparently we were in for Xavi Simons earlier in the summer and ahead of the queue, and then we cooled off because we thought we had MGW in the bag. In the meantime Chelsea came in and now are favourites and now we are lagging behind.

Losing Simons to Chelsea and Eze to Woolwich is just fucking shit. We could do with either of them, they would walk into our team, but instead will go to our rivals to strengthen their bench so they have an abundance of options to rotate and we have literally nobody.

Deki is just too inconsistent for me. If that is our only hope this season, as our starting no 10, it's not good enough.

I mean if that’s the assessment of Frank & Lange & Co so be it, and we should trust their judgment.

I think it’s more likely that they see it as a matter of risk, maybe a 40/60 proposition, and we just got put in a position where rolling the dice is necessary.
 
Maybe not have a ten on the pitch at all. Play Solanke and BJ up front as a two. Lump it to the big fella to knock down to the wee one? It’s the only creativity we’ll have.

Yep and probably a good reason why the only sides in for him were us and Newcastle.

The top sides unfortunately for us get to have the pick of whoever is available and robustness is an important quality they no doubt factor in when choosing who to sign.

We are left having to take the leftovers and gambles with talented players who are injury prone. It's definitely a factor in certain situations.

Grealish is washed, we should stay away from him. We want players with hunger not players who have checked out.

McAtee is worth a punt, City produce decent players. He could be another Palmer.
 
Im sure theres some top attacking midfielders in la liga, portugal, italy or germany. We will be looking no doubt. Cant pin our entire season on maddison being out. He was out twice for long spells last season.
