What can Frank do with attacking options including the likes of Brennan, Tel, Richy and Odobert?

Solanke at his best is average and our only good attacker is our new signing Kudus in my opinion.

We all know this but this season depends on whether Levy will bring out the wallet or not otherwise we are in for an abysmal or underwhelming season after our success in the EL. As is always, Levy never builds on successes.

He mentioned the tiredness and travelling. Almost like that had a small effect on the performance…

Well he is at a club now that expects to play European football, compete in domestic cups, and of course finish in the top 6 of the PL. ...that means lots of games, two a week, it's gruelling and up to now at Brentford he has been a manager that needed time to prepare for games, work on tactics, analyse the opposition, drill the players on set pieces and attacking plays. They played once a week for most of the season. He won't get that luxury here once the season starts

Over 150m of attacking options there. Pretty sure half the PL would bite your hand off for that lot.

Frank needs to come out and clearly state he expects serious investment between now and the end of the window to give him a punchers chance of competing on 4 fronts next season.
He needs to make it known that although he has a talented group the overall depth and quality is nowhere near befitting of a football club of our size.
Unless he does, he's as culpable as the fraud that employed him.

He played in the championship woth them which is pretty gruelling.

Also, travelling to Udine is not like travelling to South Korea. That is a HUGE difference in travel

Agree on both points

However it will be an issue this season. Lots of travel, many games, not as much time as he would like to prepare his team on the training pitch. Add this to the general pressure of managing a club like Tottenham and having to deal with a chairman like Levy. He needs support and patience from everyone.

He doesn't care, doesn't have to. He'll try his best, ultimately fail but pick up a fat cheque on the way out. And his rep won't be impacted that bad as "everybody fails at Spurs".

Really wouldn't be surprised if he's out by Xmas...well, sometime in Jan so Levy can use it as an excuse not to spend..."new manager needs to evaluate the squad" etc.

Nah.

The agreement of any manager that comes here is to perform within Baldcunt's confines.

That's the deal.

You only go off when you know you want to leave as you know it'll lead to you going anyway - a la Conte.

Frank knew what he was getting himself into.

He's got to work twice as hard as he ever has to work on this lot to try and extract the peak from each idividual.

Reasonable to give him a bit of time to gear it all up.

Showed enough against the scum to show he knows what he's doing and for us to have a little faith.

He's renown for improving players... this lot will keep him busy.

Fair point

he's never doing that.

I like Thomas as a man and manager but he's being handcuffed by Levy. In fact I don't think there's a manager in world football that can achieve a top 4 and cup win with the squad we have. There's no depth and more importantly little quality anywhere.

I think much of the way we play will look a lot like how we did with Conte as manager. Murderball, set pieces and structural rigidity but not much going forward. Conte had Kane and Son available and the few chances they got were converted 40% of the time.

Can't see Johnson, Solanke, Richy, Kudus, Tel and Odobert combined getting close to what Son and Kane managed.
