Pretty much agree. Hugely disappointing. Not the stuff of an ambitious club.

The recriminations will follow, from all sides, because it's not been good enough.

No player really seems to push that hard to join us it seems. Presumably because we don’t pay the wages that would make it worthwhile.

The attacking midfield position doesn’t even really need to be a superstar. It just needs to be a creative player who can hold the fort there for 6 months until the players are back. We all want a great player there but in reality they don’t want to play for us. I maintain it is now better to get an experienced player there with some CL experience because of the position levy has put us in. There must be a decent handful of them playing across Europe who would be happy to come to us.

We're only getting players that Clubs are actively looking to sell.

Anyone expecting a big name now is in for big disappointment. Would have happened by now.

Someone like Lookman is probably the best we can hope for.

Agree, its going to be some Danjuma, Werner, Lenglet style loan now isnt it. It will be dressed up as them holding the fort until Kulusevski/Dragusin are back and the supposed £120m for Savinho and Gibbs White/ Eze will live to gather interest. Just wait until next summer etc

Didn't we have a lot less cash than that? Plus a 17th place wiping out everything from the Europa win. We clearly need investment or we are waiting for another financial crash to catch up as in 07.
 
Every day we seem to see the same names being banded about
Occasionally joined by a new name to add the merry go round
But none of these links seem credible , realistic or even have any substance to them
Not actually sure we are close to signing anyone currently

Probably. However I’m not convinced they even want to give Frank that. They’ve seem to have decided long ago they didn’t want to back him fully
