Does anyone on here watch any Italian football? His stats for Juve look pretty good but I'm wondering if they tell the whole truth
Started pretty brightly, but fell off a bit towards the end. Juve's instability also didn't help (from Motta to Tudor). fogueres fogueres might be a bit more qualified to give a feedback though since he's a Juve fan.

Nasri was the late 00's not the 90s, but in general they had also Anelka, Garde, Wiltord, Gallas, Cygan, Sagna, Diaby, Diarra, Flamini, Clichy, Traore, Aliadiere, Lacazette, Guendouzi, Koscienly, Coquelin, Sanogo, Debuchy, Silvestre, Grimaldi, Grondin to name a few more. Wenger certainly had an obsession with his nationals (not all of the internationals, but seemingly at any one time.
And we wonder why so many current French players have some affection for Woolwich.

I don't rate or want Haaland I think hes made City easier to play against. He's not the OP God some types think

Controversial but he’s made their press much less intimidating because he just flat out can’t press.

They signed him to win the CL imo but in the process slightly broke their mould for dominating the PL.

Pep gets all the credit for scratching his bald head and “evolving” but often that’s just a wanky way of saying he’s a micromanaging tinkerer who fixes things that weren’t broken.

Can't understand anyone being disappointed by this signing. Think we have a player this season at least who is far better than Richarleson, Solanke, Gyokeres or Sesko. And he is going to be desperate to do well to secure his French World Cup slot.

A 6’2 player. Frank certainly has a type.

He likes them tall and/or strong
As did Mourinho

Strong is a non-negotiable in football. Have to be strong. Average heights have increased over the years. Now 6ft in the PL for outfield players. Obviously in part aerial related, but I think just as much is the strength on the ball (which tends to go with overall size and strength, though obviously not exclusively). Over time heading might become a smaller part of the game due to worries about head injuries. Perhaps.

As an aside, we could field an absolutely huge team if we wanted:

- Vic (6-4)
- Spence (6)
- Udogie (6-2)
- VdV (6-4)
- Vuskovic (6-4)
- Palhinha (6-3)
- Bergvall (6-2)
- Bentancur (6-2)
- RKM (6-2)
- Solanke (6-2)
- Kulu (6-1)

I'm pushing it with Vuskovic I know, but otherwise not that contrived. Would have been great for Panini albums back in the day.

Given Solanke is crocked and Richie is crocked about 2/3rds of the time, in practice I think you are right. Who would I bet on to be the most effective this season for us ... RKM

Not sure there was a better striker on the market we could get. Newcastle spent 70 million on Woltemade. Huge gamble. Also overpayed hugely for Wissa. That said, if he settles and kicks on, Woltemade is potentially much better than Richarlison and Solanke.

Yes Bayern wanted Woltermade and he's highly rated, but Bayern only wanted to spend about 40 million on him. And it's one thing moving to Bayern and succeeding with the most dominant team in a weaker league, and making a success in the PL with a good but not a dominant team.

I think Muani is a bit of a game changer for us. He's a CL quality striker, and could easily be a better striker in this league than Gyokores and Sesko.

It might be because PSG expect him to do well with us and don't want to have to sell him for £30m plus add-ons when he might be worth a lot more than that at the end of the season.

Sooooo, who really knows football rules/laws?

If the deadline passed, and we signed him without an option to buy (and have registered him), are we allowed to re-negotiate the terms of the deal? Ie, if it wasn't the above-PSG-rates-him-reason, and there just wasn't enough time to agree on the fee for a buy option/obligation, can we negotiate now and then insert one into the contract post-deadline?

Bayern are suffering from the same issue we had.

Have to play Kane every game or he (I assume) goes in a mood. Can't sign equivalent quality backup who is happy to never play unless Kane is injured. Can't find any other player in world football who plays like him so tactically equivalent. No modern place really for 2 up front.

They end up kind of budgeting for younger but not too expensive talent, and even then you get the likes of Tel wanting to leave because the pathway is blocked

Hes not in the latest slot. I hope he takes Thuram’s place. Only reason thuram is in it is because his dad’s friends with the coach !!

Hes not getting a look in anywhere else because we are so stacked. Mbappé, Dembelé, Olise, Barcola, Doué, Cherki… it’s tough.

Still got the motivation though so I hope he fights hard.

I don’t know too much about him but he’s always done well when I’ve watched him

Think he’s a nice upgrade on Rich, remains to be seen if he’s better than Solanke but good to have 3 strikers to rotate

So according to TFC, this guy is either the second coming of Messi or a cheap punt that nobody else was interested in.
Maybe he's somewhere in between?

PS - never change TFC 🩵

I saw him in Frankfurt for a season.
I don't think much of him in terms of character, but that's an other story in itself.
Football-wise, he was a bombshell in Frankfurt; you could give him the ball and, for the most part, he always made something of it.

I hope he makes as much of an impact at Spurs as he did at Eintracht, and that he understands which club he's entitled to wear the jersey of!

Proud The Karate Kid GIF

(It could have been bad, and he would have had to wear the Woolwitch Cunts' garbage bag!)
