Player Randal Kolo Muani

Think this is a smart loan tbh! If Frank can instil some confidence in the lad he is a better player than both Solanke and Richarlson IMO. If it doesn’t work then the loan simply allows either of our current guys to get some rest later in games

I do quite like the idea of Tel, Odobert & Munai forming an understanding at both club AND International level...

The fact all 3 have played for France at different levels hopefully stands them all in good stead if ever required to play together for us....

Didn't do the Arse team any harm in the late '90s to have a little enclave of French talent at their disposal...
NOT that I'm comparing our 3 to Henry, Pires, and and the funny looking one with the big teeth Samir Nasri?, (Jesus, AND they had Petit and Vieira! Fucking hell, that wasn't an enclave, that was half the France team!!) ...but you get the gist!
Oui.

Can we call him Randy?

:ledleylick:
That might be confusing with this legend

I think he’s a better finisher than Solanke and a better player through the middle than Richy.

But he can also play on either flank, probably slightly better on the right than left.

He gives us endless options and combinations. Great signing!

Honest question.

If we were to get a progressive, high pressing manager, would it be ok if we sold Kane (and Son) and got a duo of Kolo Muani and Thuram (for example)? They wouldn't replace his goals or creativity, but they would be pressing machines, and we could have a system close to that of 2017 when the forwards kept interchanging places with each-other to confuse the opposition.

Then as a striker the dream for me would be Kolo Muani, however it might be hard to take him since Liverpool also seem to like him. Kolo Muani can play all 3 positions (which will come in handy in the other point) and is extremely technical. Jo David (who I've listed in the line-up) is also an extremely good player

Thuram has just moved to Inter. Jo David would an alternative. Or my personal pick, Kolo Muani, however he does seem a bit unrealistic.

Safe to say, I finally got my man. So happy for him to be here, and I’m pretty certain Frank will help him regain his confidence. He’s like a better Wissa.

He came to Spurs just because of the Champions League qualification. Which is ok. The problem is that he is not good enough for that. He is not good enough to go to a club just because they need reinforcements for the Champions League. It would be nice to get a striker that's been bounced around big clubs and couldn't settle anywhere but that actually has great value. But I don't think he is that. Watching him play he just doesn't appear that impressive.

My God I hope you're right about this!

This isn't a snarky question, I'm actually curious.

Do you think he's better as a CF than Dom [Richarlison?] or Solanke?
It all comes down to what he does on the pitch for us. The question shouldn't be "Is he a better CF?" it should be "Is he a more suitable player for us in the wider context of the team as a whole?".

This is a question that can only be answered through minutes on the pitch. He might be technically better but that doesn't always translate into a better player for the team.

The great news is that we're starting to build some squad depth in that area. I'm not going to try and make predictions, I'm just going to wait and see what happens.

Nasri was the late 00's not the 90s, but in general they had also Anelka, Garde, Wiltord, Gallas, Cygan, Sagna, Diaby, Diarra, Flamini, Clichy, Traore, Aliadiere, Lacazette, Guendouzi, Koscienly, Coquelin, Sanogo, Debuchy, Silvestre, Grimaldi, Grondin to name a few more. Wenger certainly had an obsession with his nationals (not all of the internationals, but seemingly at any one time.
Think saliba is their only french player now, so that era is over. Not really surprising that the 2000-2010's era of French debutants (the generation that has been retiring) were all apparently gooners. Feel like that was similar around the same era with Chelsea being the african continent's team of choice
