Ben Davies would be more effective as a 10 right now than Simons.
A half fit Kulu would waltz in and improve the team. He's doing absolutely nothing of value right now.
What was it you said about Kane again, 'League 1 at best' was it?

There's an expectation that comes with being our joint highest earner at 22 and being our record transfer, obviously intensified sightly by losing our key player Maddison in preseason. He's struggling to do the basics at the moment and it's detrimental to the team to keep him in regardless of how he's playing in the hope that it clicks soon. I'm not saying don't give him chances but a cameo off the bench might be exactly what he needs to get a bit of confidence back. Liverpool have already started managing Wirtz. You don't usually post stupid things.

Can't agree more.Dumb comment, but you do you......
If you wanna throw the towel in on Simons then cool...... But he's not gonna acclimatize to the league by sitting on the bench.
I guess Liverpool should bin off Wirtz too?

But we're also currentley minus Maddison, Solanke and Kulusevski among other mainstays of last couple years like Bissouma and Son hasnt been replaced.

We have no option other than to persist with him and hope that he comes good. He was supposed to be our marquee signing of the summer.Dumb comment, but you do you......

The Dippers have generally got it right in the transfer market over the past decade. Most of our big money signings In that period have turned out to be flops. There are genuine grounds for real concern over what we have seen first 10 games or so.
But equally we can't just keep him in every week based on the fee and prior reputation if he's not performing. To use the example of Son which I replied to, he wasn't kept in until he hit top form, he was managed in his first season - on the bench more than he started, often behind Lamela and Chadli.Somewhere in all this; yes..... He may well be feeling that anyway too.
I'm just just saying it won't help shining a light on the fact and using it for criticism's sake.

Finding new ways to pile pressure on Xavi isn't gonna help, is it?
No pressure ehSon had the luxury of time..... We NEED Xavi up to speed asap.
Don't really agree that that's his only competition at the moment based on how he's performing. Sarr was in great form in that position before being sidelined for him. Odobert and Tel are competing with him on the left and are in a similar position where they need opportunities to try to adjust to this level................Whereas; Xavi's competition (Madz & Kulu) are long term injury's.
When he submits to simplicity he'll be ok.There is no one probably more pissed off about Xavi's performances than Xavi himself.
He hasnt been great but has had very little in terms of quality in front of him.
Agree- he'll be fine with time and patience from the fans. He's a young kid probably a bit in over his head, but with some resolve and hard work he'll settle here finely. God forbid anybody thinks back to the first 10 games Modric, Bale or Kane had for us... it wasn't always glittering headlines for them either!Has shown glimpses of his quality, Leeds especially comes to mind and can do things on the ball that no one else can since I’ve been watching spurs. Been no worse than bergval imo, he can do no wrong on here.
