Van Dijk this season is a shadow of the player of the last few years. Right now I would take VDV over him without hesitation.
No one in their right mind would pay 70 million for Van Der Cen.
At his best Van Dijk was at least one if not two levels above where Van Der Ven has got to thus far
A wonder-goal and run don't constitute a great defender alone in my book.
And don't get me wrong I rate Van Der Ven but in Van Dijk we are talking one of the top centre backs in the PL era.
If Van Der Ven were that good we would be in the top 5.
