We really suffered at the beginning of the season because of the Isak/Wissa debacles. We had no fit senior striker for the first few games, and we were utterly toothless as a result.
We're still getting used to playing with an entirely different type of striker as the focal point. Isak was a predator, a poacher. Woltemade is closer to Sheringham than Shearer.
Honestly, from the outside, it seems like Spurs fans are way more critical of Spurs than anybody else is right now. Not knowing the ins and outs I'll not try and pretend I understand. But like you say, we're on the same points, with a worse GD, and there's no noise about discontent. Maybe more is expected of Spurs? Like I said, no idea.
Re: this game, I'd not be surprised to see some rotation given the games are coming thick and fast. We've got a trip to Bayern, then the derby next week so Howe might have one eye on keeping players fresh for them?
Hall and Livramento are both coming back from injury and might have their minutes managed, Bruno plays a lot and might swap with Tonali, and Howe seems fine with rotating the wide men so it could be Murphy and Gordon. Burn and Thiaw looked decent together but if he drops Hall then Burn will slot into left back and Schar will return.
Hope everyone who braves the cold and the midweek travel enjoys their night regardless of the result.
