Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Gallagher - ball carrier
Bentancur - ball carrier
Bissouma - ball carrier
Bergvall - ball carrier
Sarr - ball carrier
Kulusevski - ball carrier

Is our recruitment team actually alright, genuinely think we are being ran by crackheads.

Fucking hell forgot about Gray as well, another ball carrier 🤣

I think Frank really might be in trouble.

If they wanted to save him, we’d have seen a raft of club leaks about transfer targets today as a distraction.

SO fucking predictable. Desperation stations again

And it's another kid. If we sign him, I've had it with these fucking clowns. Will clearly be a Lange signing

But still a failed season. No trophy and 8th should get a Tottenham coach fired if they have no previous for succcess at the club. And by that I mean Poch could get away with 8th. I reckon even Conte would have been sacked at the end of the season if he'd stayed and finished 8th.
To finish 8th from where we are now would mean Frank has put together a string of results that will keep him in the job I reckon.

Sarr was much more of a passing player before he came to us. More than everyone being a ball-carrier, it feels more like we don't practice passing enough, as a club. I feel sad saying it but it seems like nearly every player we've brought in the last 3-4 seasons has regressed in their time with us.

He's as good as gone mate.
Back to the 90's and 00's when the Judas's, Sheringhams, Carricks, Modric's, Berbatovs etc fcuked off the moment a big club came calling.
The days of top quality signing new contracts at Spurs probably ended with Romero this summer. And I reckon he's shown massive regret for that,
I think you are right, and if we can't keep players and we can't attract players, and we have average managers that have done nothing in the game, then this club is heading for years of nothingness.

We had a good look at him about 2 years ago - but didn't press the trigger

I mean, they’ve been profiling the same midfielder for 3-4 years. And I assume now they’re in full-on panic and preserving job mode they just want to sign someone with experience.

It’s really not that far off in terms of points. Utd are in 7th… win these next 2 and we could be in 8th.

To be fair, a lot of teams are struggle with form at the moment - which means Spurs situation isn't as bad as it could be.

6 points off 5th.

1 win in 5 games - but our traditional rivals also dropping points.

City - 2 wins in 5
Liverpool - 2 wins in 5
Chelsea - 0 wins in 5

Only Arse, Newcastle and Brentford are on a purple patch atm.

Evidence thus far shows that Spurs don't have the ability to turn this around. But form in football can change very quick with 1 decent game.

Remains to be seen if there is anyone available in the transfer market that could improve the team and give them the lift they need. With Richy and Kudus out; and Kulu unlikely to return any time soon - Spurs really must sign an attacking wide player who pairs well with Solanke and Kolo.

Doesn't matter where we finish, what matters is how we finish. Frank could go on a run where we are winning and more consistent but if it's gonna be this low xg crap, dull uninspiring relying on set piece to get goals and lucky wins then it doesn't matter where we finish, that shit is no way sustainable or enjoyable.

For the guy to keep his job from now we need to see a complete 360 in playing style, domination, creating lots of chances, players improving and him profiling the right players and making subs to change games back in our favour and the players have to be enjoying their football, there's 0 chance of that though despite who we get in this month.
