Ben Davies captain. Build the rest of the team around young and hungry players (Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Odobert, Tel, Sarr, Scarlett, Byfield, Donley, etc). I guarantee you that we'll love that team far more than this current team and will enjoy next season alot more.

Financially relegation could destroy us and we'll probably never become a "Big 6" team again. But we'd get our football club back!

I'd like to think that we would be able to stretch to another goalkeeper. Kinsky won't be good enough and there is no way that we can trust either him or Austin with a 46 game league season.

Brian Clough always used to say that a good goalkeeper was worth 30 points a season and I firmly believe that Leicester's relegation in 22/23 was down to their failure to replace Kaspar Schmeichel. Two back-up keepers never works.

I know it might not be the right thread ; but Reya made a significant difference last Sunday ( f-ck him , and them ) .

But Brian Clough knew a thing or two.

With Snoop Dogg, Tom Brady, Gareth Bale and the Wrexham guys all investing in clubs who would be the dream celebrity investor if we go down and the value of the club craters?

A consortium with Denzel Washington, Samuel Jackson, Taylor Swift and Al Pacino would be good.

No, again. If it's a possibility, planning for said possibility is something that indeed happens. Even the club will be doing that right now.

Plan for both eventualites, especially when it's going to be as close as this.

"Planning".... You make it sound like the club is reliant upon you/the thread starter/us to get their action plan together.

Daniel Levy, Emperor Palpatine, Dr. No, Louie Cypher & John Milton.

Where the F*** is the belief that we will turn it around.
I think of it more as hoping for the best while preparing for the worst. I started this thread and I've also posted the following in the Fulham thread:

I've just noticed something in the league table. Fulham have lost exactly the same amount of games as us. The only difference between us and them is that they have won 4 more games where we got draws. We were seconds away from a win at home to Man United, we were seconds away from a point against West Ham, we could have got a win against Liverpool if Simons hadn't got sent off, we could have got something at Old Trafford if Romero hadn't been sent off, we could have got something against Fulham earlier this season if it wasn't for Vicario's assist.

We can do this. We can get the win.

He doesn’t exactly have a choice, does he? Hes on scraps for wages compared to the rest of the squad, is young and signed long term.

As another poster mentioned somewhere, unless Bayern drop 80 mil at our door, he doesn’t have much to stand on. We hold all of the leverage.

We have medium to long term contracts with many on our current squad.

Now if some of those such as Micky, Romero, Vic, Xavi, Kulu and the like want to move on (likely they will) then any club will have to cough up our asking price.

The youngsters will I believe want to stay, a new manager will have a lot to say on this, and let's face it if this shitshow that may have took us down want out, is that so bad?

If they don't have a fight in them to keep us up, what makes anyone think they have the fight for getting us back up?

But it is not reality it is a possibility.

I lived through this in 1977, witnessed that season and missed just three home games that season (all competitions).

I saw the 'possibility' gradually turn to the reality.

Back then the core of fans sitting around me game in game out thought it impossible, we had far too much talent, experience and determination.

We didn't.

Some in here think that a couple or three win and a draw or two would all be secure our PL status.

Just ask yourself, when did we last put a run together of a couple or three win and a draw or two?

Our saving grace (as I see it) is that Forest and the Pikey's have more difficult fixtures than us (on paper) than us. Depending on the results of the teams below us just shows how much confidence I have and as I said, I have lived through one relegation and I truly believe that we are approaching groundhog day once more, something I could never imagine ever happening again.

I get your point. Can definitely see us going for an experienced keeper like Kaminski at Charlton to compete with Kinsky.

Seriously... Bergvall, Tel and Sarr are not playing in the Championship. Odobert is dead until Xmas at the earliest and Gray will probably be loaned out to a PL club, probably Leeds. Anyone earning north of 50k will be politely asked to find another club
