Barely any will leave, most have had fairly major injuries and will still be highly paid relative to the form they've been showing.

Most of our squad are international players, even guys like Bergvall. Being in the Championship means not being selected for their nation so of course they will want out immediately.

I'm sure a lot of those players with bad injuries blame our incompetent medical staff anyway and would be glad to get away.

The new owners have only had direct control of this club since September when Levy left. They only lost faith in Levy at the beginning of last year when they appointed Charrington and Vinai against Levy’s wishes. Effectively they have had one transfer window and the early signs were good with Johnson out and Gallagher in. Us under Levy would have been haggling over £1m and a bag of wotsits until 31 Jan under Levy.

I’m disappointed like everyone we did nothing in the last 2 weeks but that seems to be down to Lange and Frank. Lewis kids pumped in £100m of their own money in October to help the club / build the team so there was money available.

Let’s shoot the right people here. The new owners have had 1 transfer window and less than six months. The shit squad etc is down to Levy management.
Wow

I think it's more of an indictment on the mental capacity of some of our fanbase than it is any genius of Enic's making

Joe very publicly "stepped down" from running anything to do with the club and parent companies a few years ago, to protect it all against his dodgy insider trading stuff. The fact that anyone sees "new owners" is very much into the territory of intellectual impairment rather than decent marketing. They've been there the whole time.

In reality, I think some people have double down so much on "it was levy" that the fact nothing has changed (and in fact, probably got worse) is resulting in a copium of "but that was the previous owners".

What's funny is that I'm sure most of the people on here have worked for a company that sacked someone high up and put in some dumb nepotism hire that nearly burned down a previously functioning organisation. It's no different here. None of these Tavistock folk are coming in with a history of having done anything in football, but are doubled-down on the "commercial over football" thing people hated, and our replacement for Levy - from a footballing point of view - is a Gooner who presided over no success at his club, and harboured players accused of serious crimes who has basically buried his head in the sand over our worst season in PL history.

A few people, including Simon Jordan, think they are just twerking for a sale - which would be hilarious incompetency if true, because they've surely knocked at least 1/8 of the value of the club so far, and would be closed to 1/2 if we go down - all within 12 months of taking full control.

Sorry but this is wrong ;

The wage structure we have means it’s unsustainable in the championship due to lost revenue

Top ( debatable) international players will not be interested in putting their career on hold . It’s a relatively short career

That said we’ll win tmw …. Deep breaths 😊

Levy wants a billion pounds for his stake.

That is why Spurs are in purgatory.

If Simon Jordan was any good, as a club owner, he wouldn't be attempting to defend Levy on Talkshite. He'd be walking the walk and showing us how it's done.

Jordan has empathy with Levy.

That doesn't mean Jordan is right about anything.

Personally , I don’t think anyone is paying £1b for a minority stake with no say in anything

Unless they have already agreed a price and are in negotiations, but that’s probably wishful thinking. It was starting to feel very Steve Bruce at Newcastle all while they kept Frank in situ. He had them bottom of the table but they had plenty of time when Howe came in. We didn’t have that hence the Tudor hire.

Or it’s just incompetency, which is probably more likely.

If they are so worried about their careers they can do something about it and win a few games.

They really won't find it easy to get out of the club, barely anyone has money to spend on transfers, we won't just let people go on cut price deals.

And our wage budget will still be under the required percentage with the first year's parachute payments.

There just won't be any firesale.

Why does that lock us in purgatory, we just need enic to sell their controlling stake no?

But his stake is in ENIC, he doesn't directly own any of Spurs.

Unless it's ENIC itself for sale then I don't see how Levy's stake in ENIC matters
