Are Referee's Reffing Us Out of The Premier League?

Because they don't give a shit about Spurs. We're not owned by a petro state or American multi-billionaire. Those are the owners who they have to appease. We're owned by the corpse of Joe Lewis and his doofus kids, who never raise a stink about anything.

In the eyes of the league, our purpose is to be the London rivals to the mightly and honorable Woolwich and Chelsea. We don't have the same international fanbase as any of the other big six clubs, especially now that Son is gone. We're regularly disrespected by the league, journalists, media, and officials. They would like nothing more than to see us relegated so they can meme us until the end of time.

We have billionaire owners and we have a massive stadium in the capital which draws loads of people in. We are worth a lot of money and we are generally a draw. In addition we just won the Europa league and are 4th in the CL table so have earned the league plenty of points and attention.

It’s just ludicrous to think they’d hate us and aim to relegate us. We are worth a lot more than whoever replaces us. The reasons people are giving for this grand conspiracy are terrible and the starting point for any theory like this should be a valid reason to go to the trouble of something so convoluted.

It sure feels like it sometimes. But no.

We are just so utterly repugnantly shit and meek that I'm trying to work out a way of disassociating from this chicken shit outfit.

I think I've found the solution:

I promise you the Premier League is not conspiring to replace Tottenham with Millwall.

The referees have just totally lost the plot on what players can and can't do to each other on a ball lofted into the box.
I don't think they want to replace us with Millwall at all... But the powers that be don't seem too fussed if we go down!

Millwall aren't really in the PL conversation, unless you're West Ham! That'll be the most annoying thing for them IF THEY go down and Millwall come up!

There's no conspiracy but there is definitely bias against us. The three push decisions show that. I don't subscribe to 'if we just played better we wouldn't have to rely on referee decisions'. Woolwich could have caved if we got to 2-2 and Liverpool probably don't beat us if the Ekitike goal doesn't stand.
Even if you buy the conspiracy/bias angle against the big sides, "if we just played better we wouldn't have to rely on referee decisions" still applies against 75% of the league.

Not sure how much more evidence you need?! Most businesses are corrupt and big, corporate business more corrupt than anything else on Earth. Why would top, corporate football be any different.

It's not match fixing, but there's definitely and undercurrent of bias that the narratives in the media shape. They're too useless to be at the heart of some big conspiracy.

Plus the refs themselves are absolute cunts with a god complex, the bullied kids at school trying to fit in.

Especially given the fact that each season is like groundhog day with the same teams at the top season after season, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 etc etc etc 2006. I have contended for years now that the Premier League referees "manage" games rather than referee them. With the same teams at the top every season for 25 years now, Spurs getting relegated would be the only interesting thing all season.

It's just pathetic isn't it. 😆 Talk about fucking victims.

My wife's side of the family are all Geordie's. Their fanbase are also deluded in that loads of them are convinced there is a conspiracy against them by the established Big 6 that includes us.

I'm sure there's a sizeable bunch of nutters in every clubs fanbase that's convinced the authorities are working against them. I guess we're no different in that respect

I ain't lowering myself to read through a thread full of such deluded shit, so what's the reason for this conspiracy against an ever present PL club, that brings in a 60k attendance every week, part of the unofficial Big 6 and is still regarded as one of the most glamorous and historic football clubs in England and indeed Europe?

If you can bet on the outcome, you can bet those outcomes are being influenced those who are set to gain from the results
Both common sense and logical arguments but people would rather put their heads in the sand.

Government - provably Corrupt
Elections - provably Corrupt
Police force - provably Corrupt
Other sports - provably corrupt
Premier league football - untouchable and 100% pure obviously

Because it has turned into a laughing stock and even the organization running the league that is meant to be serious and objective posts videos on its website ridiculing players from said club like it did with Vicario today take a read.

I don’t think it’s directed specifically at Spurs. But there are abnormalities every season. Manchester United has benefited from biased referees for years. They get penalties, fouls, and protection that others don’t. This year Woolwich is getting a boost, a few years back and at the beginning of this year it was Liverpool. City commit 30+ persistent little fouls in games but rarely get yellow cards for numerous offences (they are very good at this) .

This year for Spurs has been the worst that I can remember for inconsistent officiating. It never seems as bad when we play mid table teams, but bring in one of the big teams and it’s all over the place. The grey area as what is and isn’t a foul seems to benefit others. Touch them once yellow card, get kicked in the head, no yellow card. This is the same for all the other mid table clubs. The referees are in my opinion are intentionally trying to keep some sort of narrative going. It gotten a lot worse since Howard Webb took over.
