No he's genuinely not. He's a bang average player. If he didn't have that pace, we'd concede a million goals a game. He has to make those tackles in most cases, because he's been caught out, but like Palinha, people think a good tackle is world class.
He would be OK with a decent centre back partner.

Not for me. What's he good at? Last ditch tackles and some charges up the pitch. His positioning is at sea, shite in the air despite being a giant. Not a particularly great passer. We've been hearing how great he is, but without Romero next to him, we concede 2/3 a game.

I thought he was having a decent game up until that decision which honestly for me is not a red card. Penalty yes but not a red card.

I have never seen a situation like this, especially in the VAR days, that that's not a red. He's through on goal, no one near them, and he wrestles him to the ground with absolutely no intention of playing the ball.
That is the most red card you'll see. Comfortably at that.
If some of you ain't "trolls" I would be surprised - you don't sound like proper fans. Van Der Ven is one of the best players IN THE WORLD yet coz a corrupt ref sends him off on a theactrical dive you condemn him and not Madeley. Arsenil are running the PL and wanna relegate Spurs and NOBODY can win against this amount of cheating. The manager isn't picking the best team but the level of cheating is IMPOSSIBLE to overcome for any manager.

VDV is just a speed merchant. Pace and fuck all else. He's an awful defender and he comes across as a jumped up prick too. Terrible attitude he has, been stinking the place out all season.

He’s let everyone down, a stupid decision - probably cost us a point at least - but every players been letting the club down. The guy is pissed off and frustrated - we’ve all been there. It’s on the hierarchy to make sure the players are properly managed and they perform. Keeping that bellend Frank for too long, getting rid of Heitinga and appointing this clown who plays players in random positions is on the doss cunts upstairs
What has happened to him? He's completely lost it recently. Felt he was good at the start of the season. Like almost everyone in the team his form had started to dip a bit but his last few games have been diabolical.
His stroppy attitude this season has been terrible and I feel is a big part of the reason the culture in dressing room is toxic. He is obviously not the only senior player who is contributing to this but he is one of the main ones.
On the red/pen - Sarr's first touch meant he was never getting a shot off. Just had to let go of his arm and let Vicario take it.
