This is on the FA's own website. It is 100% not serious foul play, I don't understand why they're reporting it like that. He pulled his arm. But hey, this is Spurs, so nothing surprises me anymore:

DENYING A GOAL OR AN OBVIOUS GOAL-SCORING OPPORTUNITY (DOGSO)

Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offender is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball or a challenge for the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.), the offending player must be sent off.

Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by committing a deliberate handball offence, the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area).

Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by committing a non-deliberate handball offence and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offender is cautioned.

A player, sent-off player, substitute or substituted player who enters the field of play without the required referee's permission and interferes with play or an opponent and denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity is guilty of a sending-off offence.

The following must be considered:
  • distance between the offence and the goal
  • general direction of the play
  • likelihood of keeping or gaining control of the ball
  • location and number of defenders

SERIOUS FOUL PLAY
A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play.

Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.
Yeah I check Football scout who don't have any agendas only facts, and they said back for Forest.

It's almost as if BBC and TNT are trying to will it to be a three game

Rightly so. Shouldn't see a second of CL football. He'll fuss and fight, say he's leaving, but we know he's gone on the summer anyway, not a moment too soon.

Never seen a player go from very likeable, humble lad, to (in his head) big time superstar in such a short space of time. Total prick.
I think if we were picking up results he would be fine attitude wise, I just don't think he has the stomach for battling our way out of all these losses and negativity because he sees himself as above it all.

Fair weather player, essentially

If he stands to loas 50% of his wages on relegation then we can very much afford to keep him and run his contract down in the reserves, why give the cunt the move he wants, he can try to keep his fitness in the reserves for the next 3 years!

I want both VDV and Romero gone in the summer whether we stay up or not. I'm never going to forgive them for the way they've bailed on us.
See my post above, VDV is on what £70k a week? We can very much afford £35K a week in the championship and let him train with the kids, teach these cunts a very good life lesson that you can't always get what you want!
As for Romeo , being our top earner we won't be able to afford even half his wages so he will have to go/

To get out of the championship the club doesn't need trouble makers hanging around the club. Anyone who wants to go can fuck off and whoever is left and brought in need to have the desire and willingness to fight for promotion out of that league

Yeah, we have to get rid of any bad eggs. If this is going to be a re-set then let's do it properly.
Of course, under our current owners, it's all going to be bollocks.

I get the sentiment. But his sulky face wont be good for the squad morale.
If we're going down, he's got to go.

There was literally no need for it , don’t get me wrong the ref couldn’t wait to give it however with the way we get treated surely as a player you don’t even give the ref that luxury of making a decision! I wouldn’t let the cunt play another game for us this season

They are in denial I think,

It’s like they are expecting the treatment from the refs to change and for things to just “even out” eventually. Probably because that’s the type of waffle Ange and Frank would’ve been telling them.

The result is that every time we see a new decision not go their way, they quite quit for 20 mins of the game. Like they are still in shock or sulking that it’s happening.

The sooner they realize that this will happen every game until the end of the season, the sooner they can get smart and realize they need find a way to win regardless.

Tudor had to take Porro off because he’d lost his head and was looking to earn a red card everytime a Palace player breathed on him but tbh, the whole squad needs that type of energy now but they need to be smarter and more strategic with it. Do it relentlessly but selectively.

Fuck him, he doesn't even need to train with the squad, he can train with the youth players, why are we rewarding this kind of behaviour with a move to Liverpool for the cunt?
Set an example and do it this morning, player power is to much at clubs these days, the cunts know they have the power to get any manager sacked, the club needs to show strength here and VDV is a perfect example as he is on (for a PL footballer) very low wages, tell the cunts if we go down they won't get there move away next season, if they really want out then put in the fight now and keep us up and then we will happily sell the cunts!

It did kind of get evened out I guess, Palace had a player sent off and a pen awarded for a very soft red against United........... :richclosed:

We can't now afford to cut off our noses to spite our faces.

Sell him in the summer, hoping he gives his all between now and then.

The time for dropping him and Spence was the first sign of disrespect. I said it at the time.

ENIC won't sell an unhappy, valuable asset to balance the books?

Good luck with that one lad.
