Going into that job knowing he has 3 forwards who wouldn't work, with his system depending on 11 players working hard doesn't say a lot.
Seems like Jose is up there too, that'll end on tears, but the owner has a hard on for him, and maybe he does just go in and provide a bit of structure rather than deep tactics and is more amenable. He can manage who's if nothing else because he has the biggest ego of all.
There's so many more options to consider before Poch. Failed at the two big clubs he managed, and there's a plethora of good, upcoming managers about now that deserve a chance. Talk to football fans outside of Spurs and I guarantee more think like me than most Spurs fans.
We'll get him, it'll be fine for a little while, then it'll inevitably stagnate because his system hasn't changed whatsoever and he doesn't have a Kane or Son to bail him out when teams set up with a low block. But it's whatever, he'll be better than Frank. But he's definitely nowhere near the coach that he's made out to be here, nor is his "love" for the club.
