I'd start him and Romero. He's not as good as Van De Ven, but he's not an uncommited prick, which is what we need.
He's a decent third choice cb, mostly plays well, odd poor performance and not fantastic in the ball but usually solid

VDV left back does start to make sense with the way Spence is playing. I don't think we should go back to the back 3.
Well that too but I was referring to Tudor most likely playing all of them at CB.

Yeah, he's essentially a very good squad player, which is what we want him for.
I was quite impressed with our CBs today and the fact that they didn't play too high a line to get caught out with long balls over the top . They were pretty solid barring the few scares and managed a draw . I'm beginning to think that Romero and VDV are overrated . We were in 17th place last season for a reason and we're in 16th place now . All things considered for almost 2 seasons they've had more perforations than a tea bag . We keep offloading defenders and bring in more and never seem to get the right mixture - like we had with Toby and Verts . If we're to get European football and succeed in the league we need a solid defence . That usually means having a CB pairing that not only have full understanding of each others game but also don't get cards like it's Christmas or when they are on the pitch don't get injured every other week . A Captain is supposed to set an example - So getting RED carded like our two CBs do is not what the manager/club/supporters want . VDV might be the fastest CB in the league ATM but it shouldn't come to him having to sprint full pelt because we're trying to shrink the pitch . Yes it's funny when VDV catches and slide tackles the opposition but it's a dangerous way to set up and his hamstring could go anytime when he's being tested .
I only want what's best for the club , and as much as our CBs have been responsible for scoring half our goals this season , they're actually failing at what they're on the pitch to do in the first place...............Just my take on the matter
