If you bother to go back and look at the context, the poster wasn't saying they are the same as gamblers because they are crooked, he was implying that they make similar mistakes, i.e. that bookies effectively don't understand the relationship between the odds they offer, the actual estimated probabilities, and the impacts of the various outcomes (as most gamblers very obviously don't). Or did you take his post to mean that he thinks the bookies are going to somehow fix who gets relegated? Do you think that?
:mourloopy:

I do think that the more gambling has become a huge industry within football; the more bent and crooked it appears to those of us who are paying attention.

There is lots of match fixing evidence out there.

It's foolish to think it isn't happening.

Football is on borrowed time because of the increase in gambling.

In my opinion.

It's already happening with American sports with the NBA, and accessible online betting has only been around for a few years outside of Nevada.

People are delusional if they think the Prem refs are all on the straight and narrow.

I was certain we were going down without a fight , however with a make shift team today we battled away at Anfield and if we can summon that performance for every game till the end of the season we stay up!
Well done today , that’s what we have been wanting for months now

Today, there is hope. Fight/play like today, in every game, and there is hope.

Then, if we stay up, ENIC will have had the shock of their lives and will surely sort this mess out, or at least intend to.
