Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Some mentions on here of Scarlett being an adequate backup. Ten appearances for Hibs since going there. Not one full match. Think he’s got an assist. He’s not ready if he ever will be.

Again, that’s not how the contract works. We also pay to insure his contract against injury too.
I know.

Maybe it's the old school football romantic in me doing the talking, but I miss the times when the legendary Fernando Redondo told AC Milan not to pay him a penny after he got injured and was gonna sit out the whole season.

I love Kulu and really feel for him, but if you can't play for ages, at some point you gotta do right by the club.

You can agree a fee with a player to buy out a contract but you can’t unilaterally cancel it because he’s injured. The whole point of the contract is to protect players from stuff like that - they’re entitled to pay for the duration of that contract.
So let me see.

The player has said, a few weeks ago, his knee was great and never felt better.

He slavvered over playing for Sweden but never mentioned us.

Sounds a bit like a benefits cheat... So I'd imagine he has the right to be questioned if he is fulfilling his contract.

Torino, you are right, mutually agreed a termination of contract with Schuurs, but if a player is not giving a shit about the club who pay his wages, I would like us to go down the same path.

Even with a full pay out, unless the player agrees to it, the club can't, without consent, terminate for reasons that don't include a breach of contract. There's all sorts of rules by FIFA to protect them as you say.

It would be very silly to just terminate while he still has value. Not happening in a month of Sundays. The club could sell him for £10m in January and that would cover, and some, what the club would lose in a payout.

Also, just because he mentioned Sweden, when asked by the Swedish press, directly about Sweden, wouldn't amount to anything close to cause for termination.

Why do we never see him around the place?

We don't seem to see videos of him at the training ground. He never seems to be pictured at matches.

Yeah his injury might be weird and serious but you'd still think he'd pop up around the club somewhere.

Still feel like I cursed him. Bought a jersey w his name during his purple patch. He was then overplayed, performance suffered, then this gawd awful injury.

It does bug me that he never seems to be around the club.
