Every other team has bad decisions go against them. We’ve had no penalties because we create no opportunities .
We are going to be relegated because we are are not the level required for the premier league. We were given a warning last season, we didn’t learn from it. Too arrogant . Well our chickens have finally come home to roost . And those chickens will be roosting in the championship next season
Well done for stating the bloody obvious, that other teams get shit decisions.

The problem is the consistency and rate at which ours is occurring.

The lack of 2nd yellows for blatant fouls, it's sly and it's sinister.

Clever. 😂 Probably as close to an answer as I’ll get. There’s just no plausible reason to believe the refs have got together at a Pogmol meeting and come up with a plan to relegate us.

It’s much more likely to be that our players are a bit shite and don’t care.

There's a lot in that as well, I don't think we have anyone who can ref the game and control the referee and we don't really appeal for decisions properly, watching Atletico last night was the perfect way to master the dark arts and get in the refs ear, if we all appeal at the same time then the ref can't book everyone, I don't think the players care enough and as I've said many times the club obviously don't care enough to back the players on the pitch which says a lot more about our culture.

That said I believe there has been clear bias against us for years, there's been so many shit inexplicable decisions gone against us, even the stupid stuff like the Eric Dier handball when we were the first to suffer from it and they changed the rules as a result. I remember shit like Son being the only person who's been booked for scoring a pen in a unsportsmanlike manor against Rochdale, stupid stuff like that.

It's just very easy to give decisions against this club because we are Spursy and bad things are meant to happen to our club because that's the narrative that surrounds the football club, genuinely no-one is ever going to question shit decisions against us because everyone expects the club to suffer in some way, I think that plays into the referees minds and whether it's unconscious or conscious bias it plays a part into their approach to us.

Explain POGcunts decision, to rule off the goal scored against Westham, where VdV was pushed in the back by a Westham player, into another Westham player.

Despite blatant TV coverage and angles, showing it... But POGCunts willfully ignoring the footage that showed VdV being pushed.

Or what about Muani being penalised for not touching a player, on a break against Sunderland, when the ball broke kindly for him... That's right Muani got penalised for going for a ball and not touching the opposition player, 2nd half against Sunderland... Who should have been down to 10 men.

We've been on the end of some referee decisions that I struggle to explain. And yes, maybe had some of those gone our way, we might have picked up a few more points.

Ultimately, though, we are the makers of our own downfall.

We've literally had entire games where we've been stiffed (Brentford, Newcastle, Sunderland, Liverpool). A few less of those and the table looks significantly different.

....despite what the 'everyone has them' narrative would argue.

Few more off the top of my head. By no means an exhaustive list.
Brobey should have had 3+ yellow cards home and away Vs us.
Samenyo should have had a 2nd yellow in the home game vs Bournemouth
Rodri should have had a 2nd yellow at home
Andre should have had a straight red Vs Wolves
Gabrielle pulled Muani back as the last man - nothing givin
VVD put his forearm on Richarlisons shoulder and pushed him down, last man in the box, nothing given at all.
Gabrielle dived and our goal was disallowed
Archie Gray fouled in the box at 0-0 away at Brentford
The Newcastle penalty when the gigantic Dan Burn got Bentacur in a headlock and fell over.

You're probably isolated from it north of the border, but down here, we're one of the most hated teams in existence.
Nobody likes us. It's irrational.
I spend as much time in London as I do in Scotland. Maybe still more isolated I suppose.

But I’d suggest that Woolwich are more hated than us this season. Liverpool despised by almost everyone and have been for years. Man Utd for their success in the nineties.

Don’t think we get it worse than those clubs.

Unless you are talking about referees in particular and I certainly wouldn’t think they’d hate us more than other clubs. We don’t have an Enzo, Bruno Fernandez, Guimarez, Xakha, etc moaning at every decision. If I’m a ref, I want that lot gone first.

Sky on the other hand.....?

There is certainly the potential for collective referee behaviour to be influenced by the other big clubs, though not an explicit conspiracy. Complaints from players, managers and clubs through the media all affects them subconsciously.

The classic example being the ridiculous amount of added time that Fergie's Utd used to get. More recently, the way they all started helping Liverpool after they ruled out Diaz's goal against us and Liverpool carried out a media campaign about it.
You've only gotta look at the fuss Arteta and Sky have made this morning about last night's Eze's dive non-penalty.... after already being given more penalties in one game than we've had all season!!

Guaranteed they get one against Fulham at the weekend....
We on the other hand probably won't see another pen til August 2029!!?

Why would referees be conspiring against us?
They’re not.
It’s just people wearing rose tinted glasses, that honestly think every time an opponent looks at us in a funny way, let some puts in a challenge should be sent off, but totally forget when our players almost decapitate someone and get away with it.

There literally has been the exact same number of mistakes for and against us all season as adjudged by the key match incident panel.
But no, according to the tin hit, flat earth conspiracy theorists, the world has aligned to relegate Tottenham.

This is what I would do but can see Porro at RB, RKM wide right, and Gallagher in Bergvall's role

Arse are being given an easy ride because people despise Man City and their money.
Liverpool are hated by rival fans, but for some reason, get all the charity in the world in the media and from refs.
What I would say, is if either of those 2 were in our position, I would expect they too would both get every negative decision against them. Cause everyone loves seeing a big club fail.

I think we only got one penalty last season and that was on the final day.

Why would Sky want one of their big hitters out of the top league? Reminds me of the Bill Hicks bit about Judas Priest - what band wants their fabs to kill themselves?

This I get. I was like a pig in shit when Villa and Newcastle went down. That we may be relegated is monumental. I fully understand every fan of every other club wanting to see it happen. I’m quite keen myself, just for the intrigue.

But I can’t countenance that the refs, Sky, media, etc are in some kind of conspiracy. We see a lot more of the decisions that go against us. Bet every team has a similar thread on their forums.

Cracking viewing figures!

I think a fair bit of the outcome on Sunday might just rest on tonight's game. Just why is it at 7 pm, by the way. I mean, just why?

If Villa are behind tonight, and if they lose any of McGinn, Rogers, or Tilemans, Emery will definitely be pragmatic.

Add to it that they are still to play a manageress Burnley and you can see how Emrry'smind might work, if they need to win the 2nd leg, or even if they must protect a slender lead.

What we know is that if we were playing, we would lose at least 2 players to injury. We probably will anyway, even though we aren't playing.

They are very unlikely to finish below fifth and Emery will want another European pot to add to his collection. Even though it’s second rate and Raith Rovers could win it, blah blah blah.

Pretty sure he’s going to rest players for our match.
