Good.We won't have a team left if you start kicking players out based on games out injured
After finishing 16th and 17th we will need an extreme clearout!
And not only regarding injury-prone-guys.

Get whatever we can for him. We won’t improve ever if we keep relying on players like him. I’m glad he scored yesterday and he might be the guy that keeps us up with his goals but he’s not good enough. He has one year left. We have to get at least a bit of money for him this summer rather than let him walk. Although it will increase the run of selling our top scorer to four years running now.
Solanke lacks what Richy has and Richy lacks what Solanke has, neither are good enough for top level football, neither are great finishers with their feet either which is rather important for strikers lol.Keeping Richy over Solanke just puts a ceiling on the capability of the overall team imo.
Sure he gets the goals - which is why he's a solid mid-table striker - but he hurts our overall game and against good teams having a striker like Richy giving the ball away constantly kills you (as we've seen multiple times in the past few years).
That's ultimately why De Zerbi has picked Solanke and will always go for Solanke over Richy in the long run imo. Richy might get you goals but Solanke gives the team the potential of achieving greater. Richy's better in a relegation battle, but Solanke can be part of a better collective unit.
(And no, I don't think Solanke's that good - but he is a competent, technical footballer in a way Rich never will be).
As a backup 9 hes fine, it's also a weapon to bring on if chasing a goal and going to flood the box and get the ball in there. Depends what RDZ wants doesn't it, the board have no choice but to let him have the keys to the place anyway as they have proven to be seriously incompetent.Giving Richarlison an extension and letting him know that he'll be a squad option isn't the worst idea. It'll cost a lot more to get a someone who can replace his goals.

Please show me the last time Richy scored from range or beat a man with pace. He's much better with his head, though, I'll give you that.Neither are great - but Richy brings more .
Solanke is a dream for defenders to play against - because he has so little to game:
Can't shoot from not close rage
No pace - can't beat a man
Not good in the air
yes - Ricky has an erratic first touch - but he is better at everything else. And looks and is more dangerous.
He's got 10 goals and 4 assists in a dysfunctional side. Keeping him as a squad option means the money that would be spent on a replacement can go towards a bigger signing for the first team.Really don't like the idea of offering Rich a new deal. I like him as a bloke and he can score goals but he just feels symbolic of our mediocrity these past few years.
Giving someone like Rich a new deal just feels a bit like giving up to me tbh. We should be aspiring to better and he turns 29 next week. Last chance to get anything like a decent fee.
Well we'll see what De Zerbi thinks. I suspect the fact he's chosen Solanke over Rich at every available opportunity gives a hint at the type of player he wants as a 9, but maybe Rich's goals will change his mind. He's got 10 goals and 4 assists in a dysfunctional side. Like 90% of Richy's goals are first time finishes. If he has to take more than 1 touch (i.e. not close range) he doesn't score.
I don't even particularly like Solanke, but he's got a better first touch, better control, better link-up, better vision - he's just a better footballer.
Richy's great at poaching, scoring headers and the occasional wonder-volley...and falling on the floor a lot. That's basically his entire game.
2 goals vs Burnley were incredible but were both dead centre of the box - hardly long range finishes. The Arse goal was admittedly the long range finish of all long range finishes but kind of the exception that proves the rule - a once in a career goal.First game of the season - and against Woolwich spring to mind.
If Solanke had good vision he would get assists.
Neither are good enough - But Ricky wins because Solanke is lacking in the things that make a good striker.
Heading and shooting. And he does not have the instinct. Or it appears the hunger
If he gets a new contract somebody needs shooting. And I don’t give a flying fuck if he scores in every game left.We either have to give Richy a new contract in the summer or sell. It’s that simple. And with his body and age it’s time for him to go to a less physically challenging league.
I’d probably give Lankshear one more loan at a Champ club going for promotion. Sure plenty will want him. Then decided next summerThe more important question is do we trust Lange or whoever it will be in charge to find 2 better strikers to replace Solanke and Richy.
What do we do with Lankshear?
