I can see Leeds spreading their cheeks for them on the last day
Last game of the season do you think they’ll play like they did last night…….will they fuck , do you think chelsea will as shit as they have been when we rock up …..no chance were going down unless we grow a pair in the next 10 days we’re screwed

The defender slipped ...the fact that this is being made a talking point is hilarious. He didn't intentionally slip FFS.

The Gooner one where it was correctly called a foul yet has a bigger talking point then any of our blatant con decisions???

West ham have been given 2 decisions against us this season alone, 2 absolute dodgy as fuck decisions that were barely mentioned.

Yes, according to Premier League and IFAB Laws of the Game, a player who slips and knocks over an opponent is likely to be penalized with a foul. [1, 2]
While intent matters, it is not the primary factor in determining a foul. The referee evaluates whether the action was "careless". [1, 2, 3]
Here is the breakdown of how this is judged:
  • Careless (Foul): If a player slips because they lack attention, act without precaution, or lose their footing while trying to make a challenge (even if unintentional), it is considered "careless." A direct free kick or penalty kick will be awarded

He wasn't lacking attention, he wasn't acting without precaution and he wasn't making a challenge when trying to make a challenge.

He was running and slipped, I mean what are we doing here???

Are you saying if that had happened to us you wouldn't be thinking it was a pen?

Come on man, be objective
Mate you literally posted the premier League law regarding that slip and it tells you exactly why it doesn't meet the criteria of a penalty. If a player unintentionally slipped and we didn't get a penalty I would absolutely say fair play no foul unless it met the criteria you just posted.

You could not make it up… well you can, cus the league is scripted and corrupt

Forget any conspiracy theories. I don't know if it's bad for us, Newcastle or Spam.

Just common sense would tell you that you shouldn't have the same ref pairing involved in the same league race on consecutive match weeks.

Any sensible organisation would look at that and move them to a mid table game after.

Then they have the cheek to wonder why people cry foul.

Ok team go out there and beat a struggling west sham at home...result 1-2 loss

Ah ok don't worry lads let's just, you know, beat a struggling palace side at home...result 1-3 loss

Ok that's fine not to worry just go out there and beat Forest at home ...result 0-3

Ah lads let's beat Leeds at home ...result 1-1

We've failed in every big game task this season and failed badly.

I guarantee you, the script is in, PGMOL are going to make it up for WH next week against Newcastle.

The crying and moaning is gonna continue all week. Watch for a penalty on a corner kick or a set piece, a sending off for Newcastle, etc.

Writing some tables out, I believe there are 36 possible outcomes for the two teams across two matches, but because the prospect of Spam relegating us on goals is unrealistic, of the 36 possible scenarios remaining Spurs are relegated in 7 and Spam are relegated in 29.

Most in this thread feel we are doomed to a loss at the Bridge historically - if we lock in the Chelsea game as a loss, there are only 18 possible outcomes. Spurs are relegated in 6 of them, Spam in 12.

Even if you factor down to worst case, (Chelsea loss, Spam win away at Newcastle) then you have 9 possible outcomes on the final day and we are relegated in 6 of them. That would lead us to the cliff edge, but we would still have no worse than once chance in three on the final day.

The problem is a loss at chavs and spam win at toon and last day is out of our hands. That’s why last night was such a kick in the nuts. Could’ve all but put it to bed
