But if that's the case surely West Ham's last gasp equaliser v Woolwich wouldn't have been ruled out?
A draw there would have made both the relagation fight and the title fight even more spicy and more likely to come down to the final match in both.
Never let the facts get in the way of a conspiracy theory.

There isnt some sinister plan, like this lot could organise anything on that scale even if they wanted too. Its just good old fashioned incompetence and a lack of consistancy.

Plus Gordon is coming back from injury and trying to play himself into form and an England World Cup starting spot ahead of Rashford. Their players have a lot to motivate them. Inside the Newcastle goldfish bowl the players will be reminded that they need to finish above Sunderland too. We really couldnt hope for much more from an opponent than Newcastle.

Gordon has been fit for a while. Howe expects the olayer to leave, hence he has been on the bench. We will see on Sunday.

Newcatle should give West Ham a harder game than Leeds gave us. Whether they beat them is another matter.

I'm writing off the Chelsea match (yeah, sorry but it always happens) so the Newcastle v West Ham match will go a long way to deciding our PL status. If West Ham win, that'll make things very difficult for us. Honestly, the thought of WHU winning is making feel a bit sick. I suspect they'll get a draw and we'll go into the last match needing a win to be sure.

The waiting is difficult.

I dont wish injuries on anyone if truth be told but the disparity between the number of injuries, let alone key injuries we have sustained compared to West Ham's is unfathomable.

A draw is better than West Ham winning but makes a win likely to be a necessity from what will be 2 very hard games.

The curve ball is Leeds, who nobody seems to believe will prevent West Ham from winning on the last day. Just would not surprise me if Calvert-Lewin got injured before. Would be so our season.

I am sorry but this is staggering.

We are absolutely being reffed differently, and the Maddison non penalty is another in a long line of decisions we simply are not getting. I have had this feeling for a while, but it all goes back to the Diaz incident against Liverpool and that huge outcry there was.

Up until that point, there was only ever the usual debate about us getting and not getting decisions, but it was no different from other clubs, but ever since then we've been reffed differently. That Diaz incident was a clear turning point. We've been watching it unfold with our own eyes for a few years now, but to see the data says it all.

The club seriously need to have a word with the PGMOL about wtf is going on here. For that Maddison incident to not even go to VAR is unbelievable.

How can it be that every other PL club is grouped fairly close together, and we are the huge outlier.

It did go to VAR.

The person on VAR was Craig Pawson.

He gave it all the due care and attention you'd expect from Craig Pawson.

my theory on the home form is we bought players that aren't up to the stadium level. i think our b grade players are wilting in this world class stadium and that's the flaw in enic's master plan. if you're going to build a 20k seat white wall and fill it with the huge passionate supporters then you need the level of player who wants the pressure of playing in front of it rather than shrink from it.
I think teams just want to come to our place and win and we're not good enough to combat it.
You'll see a marked improvement in many teams performances at our stadium vs almost anywhere else.
It's still got the novelty factor.
When the scum opened their shiney new ripoff stadium they were still decent. By the time they lost a bit of ther aura, the novelty had worn off.

Don't know about the penalty.

Very much about how driven Newcastle are to finishing the season at home and on a high, and we simply don't know the answer, but their players have no gripe with us.

Will be very nervy and our biggest hope is that we have 2 games and 1 point to secure safety.
Gordan is off in the summer he hopes to Bayern...and the financial expert on Talkshite reckons they'll be better off losing as it could mean The Conference League for them?

Yeah. That Leeds team are better than West Ham. Quite a bit better

It's easy to think West Ham can just go up to Newcastle and win, but if it was Spurs in that situation, and we had to go up to Newcastle away and get 3 points, I wouldn't be very hopeful.

West Ham are down there for a reason, they are shit and struggle to score goals.

I watched Newcastle against Forest and it was quite an even game, but Newcastle had plenty of chances. Tonali, Guimeres and Joelinton have a strong midfield. What lets them down is their two strikers aren't good at all. So they need to be clinical with their chances.

Hopefully he starts Barnes and Gordon.

What is really important, is Chelsea. If we can somehow get a point at least, that puts us in a fantastic position.
A Spam loss to Newcastle and a draw against Chelsea keeps us up on goal difference (at a minimum). If Spam do lose, it's monumentally important for us to get a result so we can't get put in a position to get screwed by the officiating on the final day.
