Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I know we should forgive and forget and all that but I really believe that all of the catatastrophile posters who couldn't wait to post things like "We're fucked" should line up to say (1). How glad they are stayed up and (2) How wrong they called it.
Towards the end of January I was on here berating anyone that had the temerity to suggest we were, or would be, in a relegation battle. By mid April I was bedwetting with the best of them, convinced we were doomed.

Let me be among the first to say:

(1) I'm really glad we stayed up; and
(2) I called it wrong.

Nah.

It was brutal. Individuals deal with hope differently,

And to say ‘how wrong they called it’ would imply that it was never in doubt. Instead, we were all pissing out of our ring pieces.

The only people who should apologise are employed by ENIC.
That's partly true, but you deal with that inwardly, there was no need to repeat it ad nauseum aside from potentially being able to say "I told you so" at the end.

Anybody that would've took comfort from that is a cunt. And a fucking boring one at that.

With their lack of any actual financial foundation, along with barely any saleable talent, I sincerely hope that's the last we see of West Ham for a while...a long while.
They're really gonna be in the shit.

They do have some very saleable assets in Fernandez, Bowen, Castellanos and Summerville though - they'll easily get 150m+ for them lot. But they were gonna have to sell even if they stayed up and the club are in pretty dire financial straits.

If they don't bounce straight back up they could be turbo fucked.

We’re still miles off.

Our squad is awful. Two 17th place finishes in a row. There’s comfortable 7 or 8 players that I never want to see in a Spurs shirt again.

De Zerbi will need three years or so.

I just want to see us play well at home. That’s it. Mid table mediocrity is fine.
Maybe so, but I believe the squad is better than it's shown to date. In the most intense pressure, after suffering so many blows this season and last, we started to see that this squad can play Football the way we want to see it played. It's been sporadic, but RDZ has already worked one miracle, he needs a bit more time to REALLY get to work on them, and he'll have a full preseason to do that.

The big question is whether he'll get truly backed. After the scare we've had, I think he will be.

For the final time this season -
I really don’t know what you all were so nervous about…

I thought we were gone months ago. What a turnaround.

We stood up today, grounded out a decent win and a clean sheet under huge pressure. A professional performance even if Everton (thank you Moyes) weren't all that.

So relieved. Big shouts to those of you always thought we would stay up. It looked so dark for so long this season.

Never again.

COYS!

Managed to follow the last 30 on here and the beeb.
Whilst hugely relieved I cannot celebrate though a few Belgian beers may help.
That was the season from hell and, once things calm down, people need to be taken out and shot.
Hope everyone has a great night.
Love you TFC.

So we stay up, and people want us to keep the cunts that put us in this position in the first place....

Nearly got us relegated, but he scores goals.

Feck off.
You savage. How dare you. He scored 11 goals this season, he's borderline world class. :simonstongue:

But in all seriousness, I get it, he's pony but we have to be realistic if we're going to completely gut the squad. He can still do a job as a super sub in some scenarios if we can't get a good sum for him and/or we don't get enough coming in to replace!

Judging by DeZerbi's comments I think it's very likely he was intending to stay in Argentina and that he only changed his mind after the backlash.

I guess it's possible he was always going to fly back for the final game, and just didn't think to inform the managment. He certainly doesn't appear to be the sharpest tool in the box. It doesn't seem very likely to me though.

At least he did the right thing in the end I suppose, so fair play for that.
In all honesty, I think it's a moot point anyway, as I don't see him staying with us, but I guess only time will tell on that.

Personally, I think you're right, it was in reaction to the backlash and, if so, it doesn't really matter that he 'eventually' did the right thing, he should never have done it in the first place.

I doubt that this is over in the media anyway. They'll have seen him at the ground, so I'll be interested to hear their questions and, more importantly, how RDZ answers them.
