Towards the end of January I was on here berating anyone that had the temerity to suggest we were, or would be, in a relegation battle. By mid April I was bedwetting with the best of them, convinced we were doomed.I know we should forgive and forget and all that but I really believe that all of the catatastrophile posters who couldn't wait to post things like "We're fucked" should line up to say (1). How glad they are stayed up and (2) How wrong they called it.
That's partly true, but you deal with that inwardly, there was no need to repeat it ad nauseum aside from potentially being able to say "I told you so" at the end.Nah.
It was brutal. Individuals deal with hope differently,
And to say ‘how wrong they called it’ would imply that it was never in doubt. Instead, we were all pissing out of our ring pieces.
The only people who should apologise are employed by ENIC.
They're really gonna be in the shit. With their lack of any actual financial foundation, along with barely any saleable talent, I sincerely hope that's the last we see of West Ham for a while...a long while.
Maybe so, but I believe the squad is better than it's shown to date. In the most intense pressure, after suffering so many blows this season and last, we started to see that this squad can play Football the way we want to see it played. It's been sporadic, but RDZ has already worked one miracle, he needs a bit more time to REALLY get to work on them, and he'll have a full preseason to do that. We’re still miles off.
Our squad is awful. Two 17th place finishes in a row. There’s comfortable 7 or 8 players that I never want to see in a Spurs shirt again.
De Zerbi will need three years or so.
I just want to see us play well at home. That’s it. Mid table mediocrity is fine.
You savage. How dare you. He scored 11 goals this season, he's borderline world class. So we stay up, and people want us to keep the cunts that put us in this position in the first place....
Nearly got us relegated, but he scores goals.
Feck off.

In all honesty, I think it's a moot point anyway, as I don't see him staying with us, but I guess only time will tell on that.Judging by DeZerbi's comments I think it's very likely he was intending to stay in Argentina and that he only changed his mind after the backlash.
I guess it's possible he was always going to fly back for the final game, and just didn't think to inform the managment. He certainly doesn't appear to be the sharpest tool in the box. It doesn't seem very likely to me though.
At least he did the right thing in the end I suppose, so fair play for that.
There's an 11 inch boner joke there but I can't...erm...pull it off.
