Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

And yet Senesi has been integral in the Bournemouth side that, for the last 2 seasons, has been taking major scalps and only just missed out on CL.

Interestingly enough, with Huijsen in the side 23/24, they conceded 67 goals. Since Senesi took over, they've had lass goals against in both seasons, over 20 less in 24/25.

There may be other reasons why there were fewer goals, but you'd be a fool if you discounted the fact that those 2 seasons are where Senesi has played a huge part in their defensive solidity.
Petrovic is a massive upgrade over Kepa.

Diakite and Truffert, whilst not being as good pure footballers as Huijsen and Kerkez are better in terms of pure defensive.

Scott and Adams gave them more consistent protection in front of the defence and more control over games.

Iraola’s also reined it in, less basketball style games this year.

MGW would be a dream signing. Would elevate our side to another level in attack.

Can't see Forest selling him and Anderson, and Anderson is as good as gone to City. SO unfortunately don't see it happening.

Maybe we can snipe Forest's top attacking signing to give them a little get-back for the MGW fuckery. I agree they're not likely to do business with us anytime soon, so we may as well try and fuck them over by stealing their targets.

This whole story of Palhinha leaving is being driven by Bola - and Bola is well known for sensationalist headlines and stories in order to drive 'clicks' otherwise known as 'clickbait'

Even as it stands it says Sporting (which Bola tries to promote as a Portugese club) have not yet got anywhere with agreeing a fee with Bayern and despite the headline in English it doesn;t say they have agreed terms with player.

So at best its an 'early stage' transfer story .... it might have legs on but Bola might find other stories to run instead.

BTW closest English paper to Bola is The Sun. Would you believe The Sun every time ?

Fair enough!

If he does go to Sporting then it’s because he’s either extending his career or looking to dial it back a bit

Even if Spurs commit to spending big in the transfer market you've still got the problem of the best players wanting to go to Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Chelsea, and that other team whose name must not be spoken. It makes scouting so critical because we're going to have to find players who can become elite as opposed to signing the top targets. For all the criticism of what has gone on, Spurs have identified and signed a number of very good young players. Now it's time to add some veterans to show them how to win, get back to the top six, and selectively commit to what will feel like overspending for the most critical target each window. Spurs can get there, but it won't be easy (good grief, I'm starting to sound like Vinai, nevermind).

A perfect concoction of neediness, striker scarcity, and money to blow, continuing our even-year striker pattern. This previously led to vastly overpaying for Richy in 2022, then Solanke in 2024, spending £120m on a crocked striker rotation that was bottom 5 in the PL last season.

Let’s hope we can do better in 2026…
Winger and a passing DM should be where we spend big this summer because Solanke is still decent when healthy. I'd like to see us go for Pavlidis from Benfica because he's had 30+ goals in each of the last three seasons and shouldn't be that expensive.
