I'd opt for Solanke over Richy as well but Solanke concerns me

To go from never being injured to being a constant sick note is suspicious imo.

Too many players coming into the Club and taking advantage of the 'cosy' environment.

Hopefully RDZ rids that but we don't want players with that sort of mentality always looking for the easy option, especially when times get tough.

It's why I think he's approved the Roberston signing, complete opposite in terms of mentality. As is Gallagher.

Need more of these characters to help change the culture.

I’d cut out losses on Solanke for sure. Either he’s not getting over that injury or he’s given up. Either way I’d get rid. He wasn’t a great signing in the first place. Newcastle now flush with money might spend Β£30m on him, which I’d take if I were us. He’s not worth more than that really as he’s never fit.

The striker position will be the hardest to address because there aren't many good number 9 options available. Look at how much the Goons spent on Gyrokores.

We won the lottery with Kane and didn't do enough to keep him here. It's Levy's biggest fallacy IMO.

This is just stupidity. He was excellent in his first season, then got injured as he was run into the ground. Last year was getting over those injuries.

Yann Sommer is out of contract. He is 37. Inter decided against extending his contract.
IMO, top keeper coming from a top club.

We should look to sign him. Sommer as no1 with Kinsky as understudy....Or even Kinsky as no1 with Sommer fighting to take it over from him. Either way is fine.

He was good first season. Was at the Villa game (4-1) and he was class that day.

Played with that silk Richarlison could never show.

But the constant injuries are ridiculous quite frankly. Always seems to be something with him.

It will be Greenwood. Marseille needs to sell and De Zerbi can get the best from the player.
Yes there might by some fan backlash but he just saved the team from relegation. If fans are more likely to accept the controversial signing it is probably now.
Mate, we are not signing Greenwood. Would be the biggest PR own goal of all time - zero chance the new owners allow that. I don't think any English club would bring him in. The backlash and protest would be huge. Would be like when we tried to bring in Gattuso x 100.

And he's not a striker anyway.

I have only one option in mind for last 2 months for striker. Thats bringing in Troy Parrott. Even when we were in relegation, he wanted to join us. For me, that should be appreciated.

Now in the 3 yrs gone by, has he improved his game ? YES

He is more creative on ball, his link up play has improved, he is finishing left & right foot and headers. He is able to spearhead attacks including for Ireland. - Sure still at Eredivisie. But he is primarily a UK based player uses his physicality every step of the way. Almost carried Ireland to world cup single handedly. Shame his team mates were too sily & threw away the game against Czech in playoff.

Parrott can play 9 or second striker -for me he is the perfect fit to be alongside Solanke for this season. He should be relatively cheap allowing us to spend big in LW & no6.

Everyone wanted us relegated and Vinai is tone deaf so he might go full Palpetine to save his skin

Happy Star Wars GIF

It’s gone quiet about kanes contract extension.
Barca going for alvarez surely means no kane for them.

Even if kane wanted to come back to spurs it would take 200 mil + to make Bayern agree to it.

So our hope is him running down his contract so he can come back next summer which is not going to happen.

Maybe just Maybe he gets a release clause in his new contract so he could still leave next summer.
Slim chance but the most realistic scenario for a Comeback of Harry.

Forget Kane and us.

Don't be surprised if Madrid (under Mourinho) make a bid.

But it won't be anything near 200 million pounds. 70 or 80 at most.

Kane might choose to stay and help Bayern in the difficult pursuit of another Bundesliga.

Sorry to be pendantic, but I dont even think we need to find roles for Bergvall or Gray. They should be benched or sold IMO.
Then we need to stop complaining about the likes of Brighton and Bournemouth buying cheap young talent and making them quality players, if we're going to bin off the obvious talent we've already invested in.
Then, we may as well do away with the academy all together if we're never going to give youngsters a chance!
Well just constantly buy first team, top quality players all the time, what a great idea. πŸ™„

What exactly are you expecting from this window and the club in general?

Guy has rarely played with Maddison, Xavi or Kulu, never played with Kudus either, Id say we need to give him a chance and at least get aome good players around him.

When he scored all those goals at Bournemouth he has chances created for him, and always had players around him, he has rarely has that at Tottenham, two of the shittiest seasons on record at our club with constant injuries and fans are ready to give up on him.

When he is on top of his game he is a 1-in-3 striker, which is basically identical to Richi.
Getting 11 or 12 goals from Solanke (assuming he plays most games) is not spectacular but it is just about OK as long as we also have goals from the players to the left and right of him.
Unless we have a big upgrade on the rest of the options in the front 3 we need a striker with a bigger return.
