It's certainly going to piss all over their parade of losers. The season ended in the best possible way. Woolwich won the league, but then lost the biggest game of their lives in gut wrenching fashion.
It's now tainted their season and the overriding emotion will be disappointment.
There is no other possible scenario in which Woolwich can win a league title yet feel gutted going into the summer. The only way is for them to have got into the CL final and then lost, so for that we must be thankful.
The general view you see across Europe is a real distain for how Woolwich play ‘football’.

I've corrected your statement. The season ended in the best possible way Woolwichwon the league, but thenlost the biggest game of their lives in gut wrenching fashion.
Well they lost twice to PSG in open play in last year's champions league semi so I'd say that stat is wrong. Is this correct between 2006 champions league final & 2026 champions league final goons have only lost 1 game in open play 90minutes final v Barcelona……..28 games! Oh well
I thought Id gone mad thank you.Well they lost twice to PSG in open play in last year's champions league semi so I'd say that stat is wrong.
He's secretly happy that they didn't win it, especially playing that way.He probably doesnt want anyone else to be the first Woolwich manager to win the CL when he couldn't do it.
I don't think lucidity is a failing of mine, thankfully.
Just goes to show however that words or predictions count for sh!t, even when people say I have a feeling.
We all have feelings,. Some maybe are a bit more perceptive or keyed-in than others but nobody has dominion on getting it right.
That lot went like Ted Rodgers - 4,3,2, and just about got the 1, unfortunately.
These guys have big ego's and want their replacements to fail to make themselves look good.
I hope the England coaches were watching and don’t put Eze anywhere near the top 10 pen takers!I was very worried before the shoot out as I felt that PSG keeper was fairly rubbish and had the look of a fellow who if he was still playing wouldn’t have saved a penalty. I was convinced Raya would save more. I was correct on that front but thankfully he didn’t have to save any.
First golden rule in a shootout. If the opposition keeper is not too hot, at least keep your penalties on target.
Horrendous decision that, you have to punish clumsiness in football. There’s no one near him and the ball wasn’t blasted in close proximity, yet he's handballed it with both fucking hands. He looked like an amateur dealing with a bouncing ball in the biggest game of the year. It should be punished, ffs.I will never understand why Saka wasn't penalised for handball in the box .......
He handled it twice inside of two seconds......the first one you can kind of at least make a case, but the second one, he's basically just batting the ball back into his path?????
That should have been a penalty all day and every day.
