Which rings true with what Alderweireld said today in the media. We don't just need good players. We need players that are hungry, that want to improve and constantly get better. Those are the players that go from good to great. The sort of posts just show we have the shittist fans around when it comes to complaining about young players. This is always followed up by bemoaning why we didn’t sign the likes of Whaton earlier too

Tel also actually had that "something" about him when he joined Bayern M. at 17, and during his time at Bayern M he broke records as Bayern's youngest-ever goalscorer across all major competitions.Difference is that there was consistently ‘something’ about Son, Palmer, Bergvall etc when they were younger (just to name from the lists above). Tel hasn’t had that - I suspect that’s why Bayern let him go. They bought him as a hot prospect but there wasn’t enough there.
Reference to Moura above, too - nope - he actually made an impact when he came on. Tel’s decision making is awful. Not nearly as good as he thinks he is in his own head but doesn’t seem to be getting better. He can stay or go - don’t mind, but he’s not the answer.
I disagree with the point you are making but that is fucking hilarious
Restrospection is such a wonderful thing. Why didn't write about Cole Palmer 3-4 years ago to tell us that you could guarantee that he would become a top-notc EPL player?

This is why we should stick by him - he has an absolute top mentality. He does not hide.

Is he flawed as hell? Yes
Did the dysfunction of the club affect his development?
He was willing to take on so much responsibility in a critical period and that raised so many green flags to me.

Seems other clubs still rate him. I know he is maddening and very inconsistent, but I think it would be poor squad planning to sell him, he’s basically our only fit wing forward.
Kevin Wimmer?Skipp must be the only player we have ever sold at peak value.
Isn't that why he left Bayern , a huge club , for more game time ?Trouble is we already need at least 3 forward players. Selling tel just adds a huge amount more to do.
Im happy to have him as a squad player but if he is desperate to start week in week out then a sale would be best.

Yeah, unlike some in here, I'm not giving up on any of our 20 years olds yet because firstly, they are so young and secondly, because they've been thrust into the first team ahead of schedule playing for Thomas fucking Frank.
They all deserve another year at the very least or else you can stop moaning about missing out on the likes of Scott and Wharton because you obviously haven't got the patience to give them a chance to develop.
Tel, Odobert, Gray and Bergvall all have talent and have all shown glimpses of it but they're kids still.
Stop expecting miracles of them.
Trippier as well.
