Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If we get this one over the line plus Savinho this week, it's a huge indicator that there is a change of ambition at the club and by our new overlords.

This is the Lewis kids first summer window since Levy was ousted and it couldn't be more different.

For sure, let's not all start sucking each other's dicks just yet until the deals are done, but it's a very promising sign.

I said last week that I would give them time to prove that they would back up their words with action and I was choosing to be optimistic. And nobody can say this is business as usual. We would never ever have started a window like this with Levy still here.

On top of getting RDZ into the club, this is exciting, and we deserve it after the shit we've been through the last few seasons.

He is 19 and yet Gray & Bergvale have played loads of games in the last 2 seasons and are both only 20 now. He should be in the squad and not helping other clubs. He will not start the season as first choice but will have to prove himself. Prove himself at Tottenham & not elsewhere. Both Bayen & Barcelona are sniffing around him & not any of our other CB’s or potential CB’s.
Gray and Bergvall played so much because they had to, not because they were ready and it was far from an ideal scenario for either of them.
You can see that by how many in here are already calling them "shit" after, like any young player, they've had peaks and troughs as they learn.

The reason that Vuskovic went on loan this season gone is because he wanted to play regularly and learn the game, so what makes you think he'd be happy with a back-up role this season, with us having even less games?
What good would sitting on the bench do to progress his undoubted potential?

Other clubs can sniff all they want but he has a contract until 2030 and if he goes on loan again, it'll no doubt come with a pay rise and extension.
So, for me at least, there's no point rushing and potentially stalling his development when he could be somewhere playing every game.

I'm not sucking anyone's dick until we're well I to the new season.

Every year there's one team harped on about on here as winning the transfer window with people longing for us to be like them, until the season starts and that team are shit.

Lovely to get business done early. Lovely to be going for experience for a change.

But I'm not salivating until these new players prove they're a cut above what we've put up with for the last few seasons.

If we want Van Hecke we're gonna have to overpay. Look how much Brighton squeezed out of Chelsea for Caicedo and how much they wanted for Baleba last summer. Bloom's like Levy - he'd rather not sell and cut off his nose to spite his face than get bent over on a deal.

But equally - if he's De Zerbi's top target and we want to truly back the manager then we should just pay the money (within reason). We can wait all summer and try to get Brighton down to like 45m, risking losing him along the way or just pay the asking price now (I'd guess 50-55). It's more than he's worth with 1 year left, but that's how it works if you're set on one target and don't want to spend 2-3 months haggling like Levy did every summer.

As fans we can't say "ffs back the manager" then complain when we overpay by 5-10m for the manager's top target. Pick a lane.

That’s a different thing though. You can praise the ambition. If the new players like Van Heckie end up shit well surely that’s on De Zerbi as it’ll be his signing.

If Savinho flops well that will be on Lange as he’s clearly a club signing.

There’s always nuance in there. But in terms of ownership, they are clearly so far funding a big rebuild and will deserve credit for that if it continues. Whether that makes us into a good team on the pitch will be down to De Zerbi and the football people. Not the Lewis kids.
