eanN17 eanN17 said it well, but finding an instantly successful addition at striker is a very tall ask. The available choices were very limited, in particular the number who can do the non-goal scoring stuff that we need a striker to do as well.

Summer, with the longer time period and more open contracts allows for us to find someone, but a January window with a dead market is not going to allow you to find solutions quickly.

I don't like our striker situation, but it is what it is, and wasn't able to be fixed in January for very understandable reasons. We'll see what happens in the summer, when things are more in our favour.

Doing everything we can, and actually finding something that works are not the same things. It wasn't a case of throwing money at the problem, it was a case of finding the right people. Saying "I'm sure there was someone in the Championship" is not the same thing as going looking and actually finding that person. And then getting their club to sell them to you.

Well then lets see in the summer, we should have sorted this out last summer. In terms of finding a guy thats why we have scouts, thats not mine or your job, other teams seem quite able to indetify and bring in half decent strikers and many of them far smaller than us. I know whats done is done I just hope we learn from this situation and never put ourselves in such a position again.

Tbh. no one outside the club and WindyCOYS WindyCOYS knew that Kane would take off like that ;-)

Adebayor has been hot and cold and he was very good at the tail end of last season, so giving him another chance was fair at the time. Soldado had a bastard of a first season with personal problems on top of it. That he would struggle this much again is just sad sad sad, but the decision is bad seen in hindsight.

Thoughts on Lukaku?

Would you like to sign him signed? I wanted him last summer, he's been bad so far this season and seems to have a shitty mentality. Potential is there and I'm confident Pochettino could get the best out of him

No, I don't want any players at the club with bad attitude, unless they are called Messi or Zlatan. We are building a team. I don't want egos destroying that.

To be fair Kane looked bloody good at the end of last season, already the form striker in the last few games, I thought if played regularly he could get us 10-20 goals over the course of a season but I don't think anyone even optimists of Kane like me thought he would do what he did, maybe WindyCOYS WindyCOYS did and full credit to him.

It was slightly tongue in cheek. You are right though. After the end of last season I think many trusted Kane to be a first team striker even if we wouldn't bet on him getting 20+ goals by the end of January.

Jedinak would be very good, assuming Paulinho and Capoue are halfway gone already.

The Jed is not all natural ability, but he is a an obvious leader of men and the sort of bloke to singlehandedly attempt to control games.

Would be an interesting option IMHO

Aside ftom all that big club nonsense, I think he'll want to be big man on campus and will have difficulty accepting a role in relation to Kane.

Schar, Depay, Ings, Lacazette, Salvio, Musacchio, Milner, Volland, Pastore and Ward-Prowse would all benefit us in positions we need, some of course, more realistic than others

Second any requests for Jedinak. Always a standout when I watch CP.
I am an Aussie so love Jedinak. Super player and would be a Poch style player - would eat up all of the Poch fitness and discipline.
However, i think his time has passed for us, i think he is about 29 so Daniel I think would not see any trade value.
Fair enough, could see us going for another like player at 23 to 25 yrs.

You can have your Bentekes and Lukakus. Prima donnas. Ings please. The lad is genuine as they come.

Jedinak was a great shout but he's 30..... Not exactly building for the future and def not a Levy signing.

Bolassie or Zaha maybe.....?

Ward-Prowse might be too lightweight for us but J-Rod if recovered would be good.
