It's funny isn't it. Every few months we get a snippet of "positive" stadium news like this one about planning permission for an underground car park.
And before you know it people are lining up to suck Levy's cock.
We still don't know who's building it, or even what exactly is being built. Or when. And because the existing plans are 7 years old, the club very carefully let us know that some knew plans will be applied for towards the end of this year.
My oh my.....

I bet you don't believe that we went to the Moon.

For all his faults,Sugar was a good chairman on the financial side of things.
Don't see how you can rope him in with scholar or see him as not much better.

I felt he treated the place as a bit of a cash cow. I never felt, and I certainly remember a ton of Spurs fans feeling the same during the sugar years, that he was never really that interested in the footballing side of our club.

There is quite a lot of evidence to suggest we didn't. It's probably the wrong thread to go into the details, but considering what was at stake for the US and the fact no one's been back for over 40 years. ......who knows. Why were there no stars in the sky etc.etc.
I'd say I'm 50/50 on this one

Werent we one of the only clubs to turn down TV rights money that was being dished out all over the place?

At the end of the day he signed both Jurgen and David.... but gave graham the job.

rather than sucking Levy's cock, perhaps people are 'giving credit where it might possibly be due' Old fashioned, I know.

Alan Sugar "I wouldn't wash my car with this shirt' (Jurgens shirt not to mention our clubs shirt)
Jurgen "He only ever talks about money. He never talks about the game"

And he was bloody good at driving a lorry, so he could help out with deliveries. My mate runs a skip firm in Enfield, I passed him spurs number as I told him they might need a skip soon to get rid of the rubbish, could be a good earner but knowing levy he will only order a six yarder and set fire to stuff in it and fill it over the level

I've never seen a skip yet that hasn't been filled over the level.

I just assumed it was some sort of ironic statement or specialist builders language.

Mind you, if I'd said in, say, back in 2009 that by the middle of 2015 no construction will have started, no contracts awarded, no design confirmed, and no final plans even submitted, you would probably have said the same thing wouldn't you.
cant speak for anyone else, but i wouldnt have expected any of that to be finalized until all the necessary land had been aquired and all the necessary planning permission been granted, and having the local authority onboard. As all of the legal process hadnt been exhausted until recently, and archway's agreed date to vacate following all the proceedings hasnt yet been reached, i kinda think its a wee bit cunty to expect the stadium to actually have been built as yet.

Still signed him twice though.....

Dan got a nice letter from Rivaldo though, so swings and roundabouts
